Could be.. their forum says Feb 3rd.
http://www.google.com/phone says Spring 2010O2 are being a bit vague about whether or not they'll have it.

wish they'd fuck off the track ball and make a bigger screen though.
-
• #556
I don't mind the buttons on the Samsung.. it's useful when your hands are damp and you don't want to smear the screen (phoar!) or you're drunk and can't see/operate it properly. If the trackball is like the Blackberry one I'll be happy. I have a 17" laptop for a bigger screen. :)
Anyway.. it's just an excuse to give Mal the Galaxy and have a new toy for myself. :) -

Carphonewarehouse is scheduling the Motorola Milestone release to February.
The same link shows the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, to appear in March.
I doubt T-Mobile will be releasing the X10 much before Carphonewarehouse can.
GSMarena have done a thorough review of the Milestone.

Android tablets zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Would anyone seriously buy a tablet? What would you use it for?Though you could be right, and it might just be another Newton, and flop just the same.
It seems other manufacturers feel that a market will emerge for this product type.
There's the Archos 7, plus 9 others, including a new Viewsonic.
For student (university) lectures, business seminars (note taking), and downtime entertainment,
it seems to tick a few boxes. That the iPad lacks Flash (Adobe) is more laughable than lamentable.
But it means the Android tablets may then tap into the disenfranchised iPad consumerbase. -

The only tablets I'll be buying..
As I've said before, they just don't fill a gap. People already have smartphones.
Tablets are just laptops with easier-to-scratch screens. -

Samsung Galaxy 2 and S5620 Monte details emerge. The Galaxy 2 looks a serious bit of kit, with the Snapdragon 1GHz CPU,
a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 32GB internal memory. Tasty.GALAXY 2

Is no one else a little disappointed that the Sony Xperia 10 doesn't come with a flash for the camera?
-
• #563
Since I won't be going near it with Sony's UI layer.. no.

Nexus 1 is looking like a winner for me, does anyone know how good the battery is on it, that's the only thing I don't like about the g1.

Nexus One just got an update and now does multi-touch. Right back at ya Steve.
The Nexus One has been revered time and time again, by us and many other mobile blogs, as the most likely contender to unseat the iPhone as the de facto king of the smartphone space. Unfortunately, the N1 hasn’t been able to realize it’s full iPhone-killing potential due to its lack of multi-touch support. That all changes today. Today, the Prince of smartphones comes into its own, giving the King a serious challenge for the smartphone throne. Google (NSDQ: GOOG) has announced a new software update for the Nexus One that finally enables multi-touch support in the web browser, photo gallery, and Google Maps apps. With the update, N1 users will be able to zoom in and out of pictures, web pages and Google Maps by pinching the screen. You read that correctly, the Nexus One is officially able to multi-touch itself!
The Nexus One update will also make Google Goggles a default app, allowing users to snap pictures of everyday objects and search the web using that image. It will also bring Google Maps up to version 3.4, which synchronizes starred items, offers search suggestions, and a new Night Mode for easy nighttime viewing. Thankfully, Google says the update will fix 3G connectivity issues.
Powered by Android OS 2.1, the Nexus One offers Android fans the most advanced Android features on market today – in fact, no other Android phone currently runs Android 2.1. And, with a feature-set that includes a 1Ghz processor, 3.7-inch capacitive OLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with flash, 3G, WiFi, and GPS packed into a body no thicker than a pencil, it’s clear that the Nexus One is one of this year’s hottest smartphones. The N1 just needed pinch-to-zoom functionality to give it the chops to take the iPhone 3GS head-on.
It’s actually amazing how much of a difference pinch-to-zoom functionality makes on a smartphone with a capacitive touchscreen. I’ve personally felt that the Nexus One was fully capable of hanging with the iPhone without pinch-zooming capabilities. Now that it has multi-touch, though, the N1 has the potential to give Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) reason to sweat. -

The Google/HTC Nexus One is the de-branded HTC Bravo which will be called the HTC Passion for UK release.....to T-Mobile.
It may still be called the Bravo for Orange release. 3 names, 1 phone.

It doesn't even look like there is a flash on the back of that thing?

HTC Bravo is running Android 2.0 whereas Nexus One is on Android 2.1. HTC Passion is meant to be running 2.1 but it's still in rumour form.

I wonder if I flashed your phone with GalaxHero rather than Galaxo.. you'd have the HTC SenseUI stuff anyway. I could've saved you 90p. :P
-
• #572
how would i tell the difference?
-
• #573
GalaxHero includes the Hero's SenseUI shit I think. I've not used it since I didn't want extra waffle added to the UI.

Now showing for t-mobile as well, although all out of stock.
T-Mobile e-mailed me, in reply to my query, and inform that the X10 will be available by the end of February, or early March.
Also, they'll be selling the LG Touch Max - an Android 1.5 phone very soon.
