  • Sorry to cross-whore but I have a Nexus 4 8gb with case in nice condition for £87 posted and a handbagged HTC Sensation for £35 posted, both boxed with correct plugs

  • How's the battery on the N4?

  • Yeah it's still good, I haven't noticed any poorer battery performance since new but I am not a high user

If you thought the battery sucked balls I'd take a return, but I find it highly unlikely!

  • Is the Nexus unlocked/rooted

  • My s4 is really playing up...freezing constantly..not responding to much..
    Any suggestions pls

    Tks

  • Nokia 3310 in the post. I think the only time I will miss the N4 is when I'm having a dump, but only time will tell.

shoul've bought this for extra hipster points

  • Wow, I want that, but then again, there's a cheap Nokia 106 for the same price.

  • i'm going to attempt this, does anyone have any useful advice?

  • I'm due my upgrade and currently running a s4 that i'm happy enough with. Any news on any great new phones coming out soon that would be worth the upgrade?

  • Go SIM only and wait for a phone that makes an upgrade worthwhile. Enjoy £20+ per month to spend on bike bits.

makes sense, i was about to do this until my screen died yesterday.

    Nexus 6.

  • Oneplus One, if they ever actually start selling them to the general public.

Best idea. Any good sim only deals out at the moment? Wouldn't mind a 4G one as I don't have 4G on my current plan.

  • My contract is up (and i managed to end it with minimal fuss from T-Mob) and i am looking at getting a Nexus 5.
Three seem to be doing a reasonable deal for handset and unlimited 4g data at £26/m.
Works out cheaper than buying a handset outright and getting a sim only plan, my only concern is that the handset will be locked to 3 and have bloatware.
Is it easy enough to rid the handset of both those things (if present)?

  • Nexus will be bloat free, pretty sure they're all unlocked too. Even if they're not all phones are pretty easy to make so with a little time and google/xda.

  • Blackphone. Then give it over to me.

  • Vodafone have just given me a new contract of 5GB 4g data, unlimited calls and texts and the Sky Sports Mobile subscription for £15 a month (it seems to be normally £31 a month but they offered me that when I phoned up about an error on my bill so I though it seemed reasonable enough).

A quick google suggests that the Sky Sports mobile doesn't work on rooted devices. Anyone aware of a way of getting round that? Most of the search results I can find on it are a bit dated.

  • I am experiencing issues trying to playback radio on both the iPlayer app and straight from the BBC website through the browser. Typically plays the first few seconds, buffers and then repeats the few seconds it's already played ad infinitum. I'm running Jelly Bean.

    Anyone had similar issues?

  • Just got Kit Kat on my Galaxy Note 2 (T-Mobile). Normally these don't seem to make much of a difference to me, but this one does. Everything seems just much, much faster. Loading of apps is much faster, and also warm up time is vastly reduced. It physically feels like I've got double or triple the RAM that was there before.

  • I want a bulky (thick) small ANDROID phone 3" screen estate'ish - any ideas - all good if it's 2-3 year old model still hanging around.

  • I woke up to chrome being erased from my phone and replaced by the android logo, I am unable to access the play store to do the suggested update. I get an error along the lines of you are unable to access the play store at the moment.
