for the slow mo was that shot at 30p and what did you use to get it slow without looking jittery? -

for the slow mo was that shot at 30p and what did you use to get it slow without looking jittery?i'm not sure to be honest, i'm not too clued up on camera tech. i think it was all shot at 50fps then messed about with in the edit (not sure if that answers your question). to be honest i was all in front of the camera with this one.

By the way MrsSmyth did you know Canon have just announced (yesterday) a 24p + 25p firmware upgrade for the 5D !!! (but not available for 3 or 4 months).
In other Canon vDSLR news, the new D1 MkIV looks shocking in low light, literally off the scale of absolutely anything that has come before it !
Back to the subject of non-jittery slo-mo . . . there are numerous bits of software that employ vectors (pixel motion) to produce smooth slo-mo from standard sources - by way of example, here we have London's famous Wiganwill at half-speed originally shot at 30p (5D) - as you can see even slowing him down to 50% speed does not induce jittery motion.

Some really nice stuff in there.

how the blimey does this all work then? How can a DSLR be used to shoot video?
-
• #15
Really liked that, loved the Predator nod at the end.

2:30 is brilliant. Great work.

because they can. that's how they're being made now. ultimately still photography will wither as screen grabs match the quality. no more decisive moment. more and more photojournalists are expected to shoot video as well as stills already; hence the 5D and others which can do both.

Fun stuff. Are you guys a film-making team or a bunch of friends with crazy video skills? :) One girl and Chang himself were very distinctive, I'd maybe recognise either of you two on the street if I saw you after that video.
