No they are not, but if you are only in London for just over 2 days, I can think of many more things better than them.
I am trying to replace that with a nice fish and chips...

Thanks.

Harbour Freight probably worth checking too.

The Ivy at Tower Bridge does both and, with a window table, you get the view of Tower Bridge and The Tower of London.

If they want surf and turf, go for Big Easy. They have 3 spots in London, Fulham, Canary Wharf and Covent Garden, the last one is where I usually go. Good offering of meat - bbq, steaks etc and their lobsters are much better than B&L! They have daily promos too so worth to have a look, unlimited BBQ weekend lunch is my favourite!

Masters Superfish at Waterloo if you want fish and chips, good fish, huge portions!

Fishcoteque at waterloo, shirly?

As a northerner in London, that's a losing battle. Get them some Eels instead. Or go to Monty's in Hoxton.

I love masters and that would be my choice, but they are on a very tight timetable, so... ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Currently looking at everyone's suggestions...

My girlfriend gave Kennedy's on Goswell Road a good recommendation for fish and chips

Right a complete change of direction. They want some alone time tomorrow and they are going to eat what they have planned, boring! I am now going to take them for afternoon tea on Thu, any recommendation that won’t cost me an arm and and leg?
Thanks for all the recommendations, gonna try when I manage to get my cousin to come over at some point!

Fan Museum by Greenwich Park.

The cafe by The Serpentine at Hyde Park, not your regular tea time fix but it's a nice setting to go for a walk before or after.
Plus tip: Bring a pack of peanuts with shell (monkey nuts in supermarkets, hate that name!) and you can feed the squirrels!

Love that place, used to be my weekly haunt!

My mum loves afternoon tea. check out virgin experiences/groupon for deals. Generally much of a muchness foodwise so go based on places that have a nice setting. Fortnum and mason is a fave, or even the secret tea room above the coach and horses in soho.

Terse, to the point as it were.

There was a question, which was the opposite of to the point. But I thought better of it.

Ah, I took it as THE question, being so vast as to overwhelming simple language.

To be honest, I really don’t get the whole afternoon tea idea but hey it is british and I shall give them some proper british experience...
This is gonna sound odd, but I have never actually used groupon etc, so I basically just buy a package from them and then mention it when I book a place with the hotel / cafe or whatever? Does the whole thing sort of happen instantly? The tea is on Thu so I can’t afford any ‘processing time’, if you see what I mean?
Stupid question I know!

Home Depot first choice (I am a contractor, go a couple of times a week) .
Lowe's second, slightly higher prices and not quite as nice product.
Harbor Freight is garbage. -

Of the choices available here (Canada) Home Depot would probably be at the top of my list as well. Most of us live within a couple hours of the border and many will make a special trip to visit Menards.
Burger and lobster isn't bad. Get the lobster roll.
