What's the best bang for buck gearing setup with downtube shifters in terms of reliability?

Does Etap shifters work well with Veloce brakes? Building cheap(ish) 1x Etap (franken)bike and found a good deal at Wiggle

Should be fine, SRAM lever and Veloce caliper on my 464 is a good combination.

Thanks!

That's it!!
Now off to find a bullet journal app. -

Yeeeah.... but how popular is it to open up such an app when you're in a bar with your mates?
You could add them after the event, or next morning.
If your too legless to remember what to add, maybe 10 units is a bit ambitious 😁 -

Rechargeable AA batteries.
Previously I’ve used enloops and now need some more. The two main things they will be used for are:
- Beard trimmer
- Thing that makes plays a noise for 20+ mins at a time with a sensor and some leds (this is what most will be used for)

Shall I buy some more, or is there a better option?
Cheers.

Eneloops or Eneloop Pro?
Have used hybrio and Eneloop pro's would recommend the Eneloop pro.

I need some new hinges for an internal door. Approx 100*70mm.
Anyone able to recommend a good brand of hinges? -

Cheers.
Normal Eneloop I think.
From my eBay purchases, last time I researched this was in 2012. Fuck me time flies.

2018 Voodoo Bokor wheelset
If I wished to change wheels, what spec would I need (think the online specs are old/copied as say 7/8/9/10sp freehub and this is Sram NX 11sp).
148 or 142mm?
Also as the cassette (Sram NX) is 11-42 am I right in thinking Shimano freehub or do I need/want Sram XD driver - does it make a difference?Cheers
-
• #95267
If its NX it will be a standard Shimano splined freehub. You’d only want an XD driver if you want to use the cassettes with a 10 T cog.
2018 bike so maybe 148...get the wheel off and check with a tape measure :)

Many thanks; that was my understanding re: XD and I shall get the tape out shortly.
Looking at a set of these (£100) for next wheels - may go tubeless at some point. Any rims you'd recommend above others? 90kg, beginner but riding a range of trails (50miles a week) and off road terrains with small jumps, some rocky/unstable terrain etc.Cheers

Just get something 25mm or wider for a nice tyre profile. I don’t know much about the superstar wheels but they probably aren’t junk :)

The spec sheet here says it's Boost so should be 148.
Actually no, scrap that..it says Boost 141 which from a quick google appears to be some kind of 9mm QR standard derived from 148 Boost? what's the diameter of the axle? Is it threaded, i.e. bolts directly in to the frame or derailure hanger?
-
• #95272
Yes, ooo, bugger OK - hang fire

Campagnolo Record 9/10/11 speed hubs...
Are they all 'titanium' ?
Or were some hubs regular Record and some ti Record?
I've got these hubs which are Record, but some similar looking hubs I've seen advertised as 'Ti Record' etc and seem to go for loads.
Is there a way to quickly tell without taking the hub apart and checking the axle?
