Well, Coke will get rid of it. It's a mild acid. Dunno how practical it will be. Or how much you'll need.
Probably better to get this:

you mean rust coming from under the paint?
I think i've seen some stuff for that called kurusts or something, made by hammerite. the kind of stuff you'd use on an old car. -

Kurust is the thing I was thinking of, I reckon, seems a little spendy at £36 a litre though- anyone know of a cheaper option that is any good?

One of my photos on flickr is getting a lot of views and i don't know why. all the refers are directly to the photo on flick no lickbacks to a blog or similar. Its quite a few pages into my stream, so its not just random visitors viewing it. Its not even a good photo, is there any way of finding out/explaining where all these views are coming from?

Not now that you've hosted them on Flickr. Should've had your own web server, then you could inspect the logs.
Possibly a google search for the url of your Flickr home page will bring up a list of sites which link to anything in your Flickr, then narrow it down with relevant search terms.

Didn't work though and the seat post is more stuck

Which modern dual pivot caliper brakes would suit an older bike such as this? http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/pp271/qeugeot/1976nl/1976nl_14.jpg

I have those Tektros in black.
Rust as in iron oxide, basically some parts of the balcony rails and the corner beading in the plaster in the kitchen where the moisture trapped behind the wallpaper has made it go rusty.
The stuff I had in mind is a gel, so you can paint it on and it converts the existing rust to something that then flakes away, leaving clean steel that you paint toot sweet.
