If you were going to buy the same thing, for the same price, next day from Wiggle or Chain Reaction who would you use?
I'd really like a timed delivery slot so I know when I need to be in but can't remember if either/both/neither of them do that...

Wiggle own CRC, so it'll most likely be the same courier.

Isn't it meant to have all the benefits of oversized press fit bbs, with the benefits of threaded bbs?
One of the benefits of threaded BBs is that they're cheap and ubiquitous. T47 not so much...

You'd think so wouldn't you, but I don't think they do.
A search of my emails found Wiggle use DPD with 1 hour time slots - or at least were in September last year - so that seems like the best bet. In my experience they do tend to be quicker than CRC too...

My Wiggle orders usually come via Royal Mail, but when I paid for a next day service (in November) it was sent via Yodel.
You can guess the rest.

Why not get it delivered to a newsagent, post office or Doddle? Doddle is included in Wiggle P+P, and presumably CR too.

Bury it in uncooked rice and leave it in an airing cupboard for a few days, although I suspect that you'll need to get inside it to check whether there is any corrosion on the contacts of the switch - Not always easy with the rubber push-button switches (which is what I suspect this has).

via Yodel

I will do and will report back. I spoke to another mechanic today, he is open to the challenge and is willing to invest in tools to fit T47 BBs, but he is asking the same question - why?

Thinking of buying this. Is it good value or am I being had? Crankset and Acids makes me wonder.

Do you want a bike with the finicky alfine 11?
Price wise it’s total marmite - there won’t be too many people queuing up for it so chip away and try to get it for £800 or so

Good advice, will try Retrobike first. Ta

I can do tomorrow. I can describe it as well. I think I've got the bodge sorted, but it's so ugly on this otherwise quite nice looking bike.

Thanks! I kinda got the feeling that it was a mix of intended parts and whatever was in the bin. Ill try for 760 as I need to get home to Sweden if offer is accepted. But if the Alfine 11 is that flaky mabye I should just get an Arkose...

- 30mm axles are required to run Cannondale SiSl cranks.
- I like these cranks, and have used them on a number of bikes.
- PF30 has generally been fine for me, I've only been caught out when other people have built the bike and have not followed the correct process
- But fitting a threaded bottom bracket is very hard to make a mess of, and mechanics who may not follow the correct PF30 process are going to have a harder time buggering up T47
- The oversize shell does present more area to weld too, which when using oversize tubing is useful
- And it provides more room to fit cables and so forth through the shell
- I saw Chris King talk about this "new" (actually very old) standard, and thought why not

Hmmm it’s a very specific build for a very specific purpose - most of it makes sense, I don’t think there’s much parts binery going on.
I’d want a warranty with any complex hub gear to be fair

So you asked Matt to do the T47 shell? Just trying to understand if it's a new (old) trend for independent frame builders. What BB is in this bike? Chris King I presume?
And where is the candyfades?

What are these screws? They're in a speaker cabinet built in the 90s in America if that helps. I basically need to find a long nut to fit over them as the replacement drivers I've purchased for the box have a deeper rim and the screws don't even go past the mounting holes.
Edit - M4s fit for a couple of turns then jam.

Thank you

Thanks. Have established that it's hex barrel nuts I need. Now to find somewhere I can go and by 30 each of a bunch of different sizes in London.

Clerkenwell Screws?

Yet. I don’t know if it’ll take off or not, but it’s too soon to judge.

You may be better removing the existing bolts and putting in some insert nuts and then you can use a standard M4 Screw.

Water inside the lens now won’t switch on. Dried it out - still nothing. Is it saveable? I don’t want to throw away
