  • Think this is what you're looking for...

    SELECT
    ROW
    , ID
    , TYPE
    , SEQ
    FROM testTable
    WHERE SEQ IN (SELECT SEQ FROM testTable WHERE TYPE = 'inc');

I tried to think of an alternative way using window functions but you still have the issue of needing a sub-query.

  • Some london tips for a non-brit would be appreciated. Last time there was a few years ago.
Small cafes, book/magazine stores, record shops etc. All the hip stuff.
Preferably off the big main streets.

  • Booking a train to sheffield. which website let's me book a bike on too?

  • hmm, I remember doing it in the past but can't remember with who

  • Where are they staying?

  • @cake If you're traveling on EMT, they literally have two bike slots per train. The only time I've tried, I was told to telephone them to arrange it.

  • Anyone rented a cheap car in Warsaw?

  • If it's East Midlands Trains, just phone up. Pretty easy every time I've done it. They might say there's only two bike spaces on the train but you can definitely get more on - better to have the reservation though.

  • I've got a feeling someone has mentioned Trans Pennine Express or Northern Rail as letting you book a bike.

Also, you can consider going from Kings Cross to Doncaster (Virgin?), and changing there for Sheffield.

  • Hi there.

Need to buy a new headset cos my one was stolen last week (along with bar, shifters, stem etc).

    My bike:

What do I need? An integrated tapered (1 1/8 to 1 1/4) headset? SO CONFUSED.

  • Southern used to. Don't think any do now. There's a 'bikes on trains' thread on lfgss if you rummage about.

  • Scotrail let you book a bike on the website too. However, you can't use the Scotrail (or any other) website to book a bike on the train if the operator doesn't let you book bikes through a website. E.g. I can book a bike spot on a Scotrail train through the Virgin Trains (or any other) page, but I can't book a bike spot on a Virgin train using the Scotrail website, because Virgin don't let you book bike spots online.

So the long and short of it is that if you can't do it on the website you have to call up or book it in one of the ticket offices before you depart (depends how often you're at train stations I guess)

  • They (me) in se1 somewhere. It's just over a weekend but it'd be fun to have some tips from the locals rather than just strolling around aimlessly.

  • How would you pronounce the name Buky

    Bookee? Or Bucky? Other?

    Nigerian context if it helps.

  • Scotrail was the only one that let me book a bike online. Thanks all

  • Flexible small length of cable exist other than V brake noodles?
I need one with female both sides so I can continue a cable run before and after.

  • To race this race do I need to join British Cycling? The mobile site isn't that good

  • Yes you do, as entry can only be done via BC according to that listing. Normally, if they accept entry on the day you can take out a BC day license for a few quid, but that's not going to be an option here I'm afraid.

I think you'll need silver membership to enter.

Edit: Scratch that it's full up already anyway.

  • I've salvaged a rear mech (Shimano Deore DX RD-M650) from an old MTB I found. It's filthy, but mechanically sound, save for one fact: It's missing the outer cage plate and jockey wheels.

When I look online for replacement plates, they seem very model-specific, but I would have thought the shape was largely immaterial, as long as the two plates had the jockey wheel axes in the same place.

Anyone know if you can use any old inner plate, within reason?

  • Answering my own question: it's easier to replace the entire cage and jockey wheel assembly from a dead donor rear derailleur (if I can find one).

  • The ferrule bit on v brake noodles is female/female, if you can find a spare one.

  • Is it? All I'm finding are ones like this

With the male bit on one side to fit into the little metal cage on the caliper

  • The bit on the right is f/f. You should be able to pull it off the rest of a spare noodle.
