  • I'm looking for recommendations on two entirely separate things if anyone would care to share their opinions:

Firstly I'm afraid my posterior has been rather spoilt by my brooks B17 of later and I'm find the saddle on my Leader very uncomfortable. Its a cheap Fizik copy. I'd like to replace it with something a tad would be more forgiving and would also not look out of place on my bike.
I don't need it to be super light or anything.
I know saddles are a very personal thing, but I rather feel like a peach on a razor blade of late, anyone got any suggestions?

A Black Rolls? I think they look alright on some more 'modern' bikes.

  • specialized toupe or romin

I did wonder about them, not a fan of that look but I hear they're one of the comfiest saddles around, if that's the case looks be damned

A Black Rolls? I think they look alright on some more 'modern' bikes.

I did wonder about this as well, I'm sure someone on the British track team uses one.

  • I think Hoy uses a rolls

I have one if you want it

    edit:

    It would seem not

  • I have one if you want it

Might well take you up on that. What's the condition like and how much do you want for it?

  • I need a £20 cheque to send off with an application for a course, but I don't have a chequebook anymore because this is 2011. Can I go into the bank and get them to print a one-off cheque or something similar?

  • Technically you can write a cheque on anything, just sign it with acc number and sort code. But whether they'd accept you on their "course" is another thing.

What you buying? X-ray specs? Subscription to the spectator? Don't they accept anything else?

You can usually get a cheque book delivered within a few days. None of this answers your question, sorry.

  • Sparky, yes. Just go into your bank and they can sort it out.

  • ftfy

I went as a sanitary towel instead...

  • It's an academic course. £20 process fee. Will pop into bank tomorrow, Ta.

  • I've got this one, Spotter:

(SLR Gel was much more comfy, though)

  • I've just nabbed a rolls for £20 on here, but if i don't get on with it i'll look into that definitely thanks for the help.

as for the phones i'm going to order these:
Panasonic KX-TG6523EB DECT Trio Digital Cordless Phone: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

  • what's that meaningless latin used in example publications (for example) called?

  • So, Barclays wanted £15 to print me £20 - predictably shite. Not sure what to do now.

  • do Postal Orders stil exist?

  • Email addresses (for questions that aren't sales related - event sponsorship, instead) for CRC and Wiggle. Any one have?

  • Ask someone with a cheque book to write a cheque for you?

I've got one somewhere and can do it if you give me the time to find the damn thing

  • I believe they do - 10% charge. Phone up the uni office to see if they'll accept them though.

  • What's all this 'LFGSS Category' malarky that appears under the OP of each thread?

How do I discover mine? What does it meeeeeean?

it's measured by pos/neg rep received and it's supposed toact a guide in the classified section so you know you can trust them. like ebay feedback.

but of course as rep rewards funny captions of office cat and punishes people with unortodox opinions on helmets/brakes, it's a not a flawless system of rating sellers!

  • How do you display this LFGSS Cat?

  • it only shows up on classified threads in the first post

  • World Champion. Can I wear the rainbow now?

  • I wish that would encourage people to buy my fucking jumble. I'm broke.

  • and

Is that Maillard? What era Mavic are we looking at?
