Yep it is mental.

No reason to go to the Total Clean (it only exists as Currys wanted something that Argos don't sell).

Absolute has the soft roller head which is designed to work on hard floors.

Think we ended up with a Vax. Seemed to get better reviews and cost 1/3 of a Dyson.
Also, fuck anything with batteries in it that gets little use like a vac. 240V or deth.

Get a Henry - it has a face, what more could you want?

Seriously though, we have a bog-standard red one and it works perfectly for hard floors and normal carpets, including picking up cat hair.

The Dyson outlet store on ebay has more reasonable prices for refurbished Dysons (still have a Dyson guarantee). Still not cheap though (which is why I went with the miele)

Dyson V8 is fucking black magic! I bought one that @hoops was selling, worth every penny even at full price. Life is too short to spend time cursing at the vacuum cleaner.
