Given my track record for breaking things I'll probably give those a mess, will settle for Ti phil wood bb, hardware for hubs, lockring and maybe a cog.
I'm still toying with the idea of ti spokes even though I know they're shit.

Old LPs. I have too many. Some of them are embarrassing old hippy shit. Many are in crap condition, especially the old Rolling Stones albums on Decca (in mono!). Question: is it worth the hassle of trying to sell them or should I offer them round to young folk who don't play records?
-

Don't
I snapped a ti Phil Wood BB -
• #82832
Ah well, no more ti for me. Maybe I'll end up with a bike that's actually rideable.

Difficult.
The other day I found out that my office companions had no idea who John Lydon / Johnny Rotten / The Sex Pistols were.
I've bought dedicated luggage for the Brompton.
God, those two things make me feel really old. -

I thought all the young folk were now starting to play records again?
Part of that "back to a culture of real things" movement. -
• #82835
My understanding was that they were buying vinyl but not playing it. But then later getting excited and buying a "vinyl player".
-
• #82836
That seems to be the route these days.

Going through the house and have found a lot of redundant wires and cables. Don't want to throw into the bin. Anyone know if these can be recycled and who would take them. Ideally in Southwark and surrounding boroughs.

Any metal recycler will take copper wire and cable, the good ones will strip it mechanically rather than burning off the insulation in a barrel in the yard :)
These guys are first on google in your neighbourhood

I can't fit my spd-sl cleats cos the bolts won't reach the nuts in the shoes. Is this a common problem?
Can't seem to find a solution...
-
• #82840
Use specific longer bolts from here.

Right. Need to take the spd-sl pedals off in that case as i want to ride tomorrow morning.
Still got some vanilla SPDs and spd shoes somewhere.
-
• #82842
Take out all the bolt and check each one for the length.
Some of them are 1x short and 2x long, or 2x short and 1x long.

I'm leaving the country in a couple of months and need to sell off practically everything I own, as putting it in storage isn't cost-effective. What's the best way to go about this (other than the sale-thread here for the bike bits)?

Why do children get so many punctures? I mean how? My eldest offspring has come back with 5 punctures in the front wheel alone.
-
• #82845
Kerb hugger? Riding on pavement? Not being aware of Road condition? Etc.
-
• #82846
Yes, turns out that's the case - i need 2 short and one long for each shoe.

Do ITM eclypses come in both 26mm and 25.4mm clamp sizes?
-
• #82848
They're not the one who has to fix them.
Maybe.... -
• #82849
Sounds about right. I'm looking forward to passing down the essential skill of puncture repair.

Essential in much the same way as whale-oil lantern maintenance is a vital skill for 2017?
I reckon we'll see the end of inner tubes for most bikes within the next five years as most things move to tubeless.
The keys word is show-off fixie.
