Nope: X series and Zero aren't compatible.
I think the X series have dimples and drillings in the plastic body.

Do Shimano do an entry-level MTB (rim brake) wheelset?
Mavic do, it seems to be a 17-559 take on the Aksium which is not necessarily a bad thing, A-Cycles seem to have the best price at the moment

What was that article written by Nicholas something, about intelligence targeting jaded middle-aged terrorists looking for an escape route? Empathy not crude 'war on'. Thought it was linked in News/EU/Trump thread but can't see it..

a frame with more stack and less reach...
so this is higher and shorter? i.e. more upright, less racy? is that how it works?
thanks for any advice - is there a frame geometry thread?
-
• #82506
Yes. More stack = more distance vertically from the bottom bracket to the top of the headtube. More reach = more distance horizontally from the bottom bracket to the middle of the headtube. Don't think there's specifically a frame geometry thread, but there's an Internet Bike Fitting thread which covers much the same ground.

There is a topic explaining Stack and Reach a little;

thanks both - most useful.

Does anyone know of a disc wheel valve adaptor shallower than the Zipp/Silca press-on like this?:
https://www.sigmasport.co.uk/item/Silca/Press-on-Disc-Wheel-Pump-Adaptor/BSW4
I've just got a disc wheel with a very small hole and even this one is a bit too big, which means I'm losing a lot of air every time I try to take it off. I'm worried I might snap the valve core once I've actually stuck the tyre on.
Any other options?

• #82510
Valve adapters are meant to be fixed in place with tape on the threads not taken on and off.
-
• #82511
I think you're thinking of valve extenders.
The link is for one of these:

Pretty sure the answer is only with a shim.

Dremel® time! You can cut pretty big chunks out of most discs (not stuff like Lighweight which have pre-tensioned skins) without weakening them enough to worry about.

Sounds like quite a drastic option. And would involve me having to buy a Dremel.
What am I missing here? Google Image Search brings up dozens of pictures of unadulterated Ambrosio disc wheels, including one in this thread where the valve looks even longer than mine (Vittoria Rally, 36mm valve).
How did they pump theirs up?

My mistake.

How though?

Why does Firezza make me go through multiple, deeply annoying steps before they'll show me there menu? If Hungry House and Just Eat hadn't been down there's absolutely no way I'd have persevered with the order. This doesn't make sense to me.

Will I notice any difference between a 5500 or 7710 octalink BB? Is the 7710 worth the extra €30? Is the 7700 worth more again?

I opened the homepage, then clicked on the 'show meal specials' and got the menu.

No.

Thought so, just wanted some confirmation really. Thanks
