  • Well, I tried to change mine for one post in the Trader rep thread and it didn't work; upload of file failed.
Then two days later it's there. So I guess in a couple of days I will be back to my previous one.
Or one of Lord Of The Flies.

  • would it be safe/possible to diy fix this carbon frame, if I'm only commuting on it? any suggestions?

  • White Industries Eno Hub would do it

    http://www.whiteind.com/rearhubs/singlespeedhubs.html

No comment on how advisable it would be- too little info

  • Wrong kind of fix.

Somebody like Fibrelyte is the best bet, may not be economical

  • Ah, how embarrassing.

  • Why do you want to sell the bike, Neil? And weren't you going to put Penguin stickers on it?

  • I want to buy Andy's Cannondale Track- in my mountain top lair we have a strict "one of each type of bike" rule, so one in=one out.

  • Where can I find a piping bag fitted with a 1.5cm/½in fluted nozzle and a 0.5cm/¼in nozzle tomorrow in Hackney, ideally, in the morning.

If not, then I'm in central at lunchtime so can go to Pages on Shaftesbury Ave.

  • There's a fecking great pro catering shop on Shaftsbury Ave. Not sure if it's open on sundays though.

  • What would be a nice frame to build up with early Suntour Superbe?

Miyata Pro/Team seems like the obvious choice

    interesting thanks

    Anything else?

  • Pages is no longer Pages. But it is still a catering shop.

I think I got one from the big Sainsburys in Dalston. Not sure of the specifics of the nozzles.

Don't worry, happens to the best of us

There is somewhere doing carbon repair kits that come with a thin sheet of carbon weave and epoxy for about 30 quid.. I don't care what it looks like.. Would it be alright to just wrap around it a few times? Like I said it'd just be for commuting. Could I brace it with something too?

Cheers both, I slept in so didn't matter anyway. Heading central shortly so shall pick things up and perhaps post a photo of my efforts this evening.

  • Can anyone recommend some 25.4mm flats/risers with a fair bit of sweep?
    Something a bit like these

  • Got a Giant SCR road bike, coming up to finishing a conversion from Shimano to Campag components. What I'd like to know is what Power/Ultra torque BB cups do I need to get, British, Italian, etc?

    Confused...

  • Most likely British. I'd put money on it.

Can you see your current Shimano BB?

  • Is it possible that there is an undiscovered second earth planet on the earth's orbit, just mirrored 180°, so it's impossible to spot from here - as it would always be hidden by the sun?

Or would Voyager space probes and the likes definitely have discovered it already?

  • Balls. Both Pages and the other one are shut on Sunday's. I'm wandering around soho looking for a catering shop or similar to get a piping bag and various nozzles. Don't want to have to walk all the way to John Lewis. Ideas?

That would be the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagrangian_point known as L3. Nothing there sorry.

  • Fffffffuuuuuu!!

John Lewis sold out. I'm going home and getting some fried fucking chicken

You don't need to see the planet to detect it.

  • Can I put my 8 speed chorus wheel into my Athena 11 speed equip bike so I can use my turbo trainer without changing to trainer tyre/buying a wheel with a extortionate 11 speed casette and trashing my 11 speed group?

There aren't really any other planets. There's a large dark shell around the Earth, beyond which a large fire burns. What we think are planets are really just holes in this shell through which you can see the fire. The sun is a particularly large one. :)
