Go back to the shop
His main point is that the shop no longer exists. He's in the hands of the manufacturer's warranty

contact them via email
they will ask you to return the frame and do a fugly repair job, but they will repair it.
like many american ti framebuilders there is a lifetime warranty on the workmanship, and that is fucked.

Given all the exclusions and costs you have to cover it is not economic to send it back to Lynskey. Take it to Enigma in Hastings. They are experienced in Ti frames and are happy repairing and modifying other makers frames. Reweld of that joint is not difficult but needs to be done right.

What this Warranty covers
All Lynskey Performance Designs bicycle frames, stems, seatposts, and cargo racks carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects to the original owner. All Lynskey Performance Designs carbon forks carry a one year warranty against manufacturing defects to the original owner. We reserve the option to repair or replace your product, depending upon the identified issue and the repairs necessary. If you crashed your bike, or drove your car into a parking deck while your bike was on top, then it is not covered under our warranty program, but we can help you fix it. Give us the details and we can determine the best solution for repair.

It turn out that they haven't gone, merely acquired by Velorution.
Apparently you can email them at mail@mosquito-bikes.co.uk

In that case, he can still sort out warranty via them.

What this Warranty covers
And more importantly, for a UK user dealing with a US factory, what it doesn't:
Any postage, insurance, or shipping costs incurred in sending your frame for service are your responsibility. This includes return shipping.
Paying shipping both ways is likely to cost more than the frame is worth :-)

Do let us know how you get on. I also have a Lynskey from the previous mosquito. No crack in it, as far as I know... Yet...

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cracked+titanium+bike+frame ~360,000 results
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cracked+steel+bike+frame ~380,000 resultsGiven that Reynolds 531 alone probably accounts for 10 steel frames for every titanium frame of any make, I can't help but wonder whether there might be something fundamentally wrong with welding Ti tubes into the shape of a bicycle :-)

cracked carbon bike frame 379,000 results ;-)
carbon bike fork exploded 670,000 results!I think I will ride my steel bike tomorrow.

Is there anywhere in London I can get my passport renewed VERY quickly?

Is there anywhere in London I can get my passport renewed VERY quickly?
You need an appointment at Eccleston Square (you can book and pay online), same day service should take about 4 hours from your appointment to getting the passport in your hand.
That's assuming you're British. If you're a forrin, you need the passports section of your home nation's London embassy.

I had to do this a few years ago, the earliest appointment was a week or so from booking. Ended up being on the very morning I was supposed to be cycling down to dover to get on a ferry. That was a long day.

Can anyone recommend a really nice place to eat out in Bath for a birthday dinner for two, one of whom is pregnant? Sort of modern British cuisine.
TripAdvisor is so overwhelming.

Finally fitted a (vintage/contemporary) tub to the fourspoke, used it for a few days. Just noticed a cut in the sidewall, tube inside is bulging a little.
Chuck it?

Menu Gordon Jones is excellent http://www.menugordonjones.co.uk/index.php/home/ Need to book a fair bit in advance though.

Thanks - that's #1 on Tripadvisor, and while it looks amazing, those tasting menus contain a few bits that pregnant women can't have, so I'm regrettably steering clear.
-
• #77374
It may be worth giving them a ring, they vary their menus daily so there's a reasonable chance that they'll be able to alter the menu.
