They all are, actually. I'm kinda holding on them tho for spares and whatnot.

Seatpost, 27.2, in-line, lighter than a Thomson Elite?

For chainring bolt tools - I've got the Park Tool CNW-2, a Campag one and a cheapy Lifeline T-handled one in front of me. Not seeing a discernable difference between the first two. The Lifeline one looks a bit thinner, I could get the calipers out if you are desperate.

Thanks - that lifeline one looks identical to Evans' which was a bit too big.
Gonna give this a go:

Edit - found this on eBay, should work?

Thanks for the offer but postage would be a killer as I'm now in Aus. :)
Which reminds me - what would be the hardtail frame of choice now for fast fire trail and single track? And what bouncy forks? Last time I was serious about MTB was 15 years ago, I suspect things have moved on. -

If you want a capable bike that's more lols orientated than a lycra XC mile muncher I'd look at some of the 27.5 frames like the Stanton Switchback paired with some RS Revelations or Pikes...but only Pikes if you intend to do crazy shit.
That said my 29er F-Si is a riot until it gets real steep or real rocky.
People in the MTB thread will have other suggestions I'm sure.

Hmm, given my time restrictions, lols are a higher priority. The Stanton looks ideal. How do you think it manages tricky climbs? Revelations would fit here too.

Dunno. I have the slackline and it's interesting doing really technical climbs because wheelbase, 160mm travel and 2.4" rubber. But I put that down to my lack of skill.
A fork that you can drop by 30mm travel or so when you hit something going up is helpful.

Just read a Pinkbike review. Now I definitely want a switchback. Ha, spending money I have not earned yet. By the sounds of it, climbing wont be an issue.

File the bolt wider?

• #76942
That's a spare - the stuck one is still in the crank and flush.

In that case you need an angle grinder rather than a file, but the principle is the same 🔨

Best/best value/reliable home water filter tap system?

What do I need on amazon for £8 to make the order upto £20?

My go-to options are gels, energy/recovery powder, bottles. Don't know what your preferences are, but one Camelbak Podium bottle would probably get me over the free shipping line.

Another copy of that album someone nicked off you when you were 17 and you've never got around to replacing.
