Croatia maybe? Unsure about the weather and suitability for veggies though.

Ha!
Well I went to Iceland and managed to not see the northern lights due to shit weather, so I'm well aware that chances are low. It ended up ruining the holiday... mainly because my reasonable ex decided it was my fault and had a massive fight with me.
Outdoors is fine, but it really needs to be outdoorsy AND city, rather than solely an out doors holiday. I guess Scotland and then down to Edinburgh is an option.
@spiderpie - that's not a bad shout. Just worried the flight might be a bit long.

That's a good shout too.
Neither of us have done much of the East Block so that's definitely up there.

Keeping with the travel questions, does anyone know the name of that website where you put in your location and dates and it just brings up the cheapest flights to anywhere?
My google fu is weak.

skyscanner?

Google Flights combines Maps with ticket prices, which is especially nice if you're still looking for a place to go to.
Skiplagged is also good if you don't mind changing flights to reach your destination, which is often lots cheaper.

I'll check those out. Usually I just use Skyscanner, but I remember meeting some people in Bogotá who'd gone there just because they'd used a site that shows you the cheapest flights from your location on the dates you want... Sort of like a lottery.I just thought that might be a way to get some ideas for where to go.
EDIT: Skyscanner does this :s
Double edit: I'm not sure if actually does :s

Got an old steel frame I wanted to build as a 1x10... but getting it out last night it would appear it's not got a deraillieur hangar. Not sure if it's been knocked off or what - there's a cable lug on the chainstay which suggests it ought to have had a hangar at some point.
What are my options? Can I get something welded on? -
• #71414
You need this;
TBH it's easier to get this and run an 8 speed system, cheaper in the long run than a 10 speed system (and last longer).

Found it, here you go.
And don't worry about the width difference between the newer 130mm wheel and the old 120mm frame, just pull it apart and fit it in.

What's the cheapest way to build a decent 1x8 setup? Can I use wheels with a 10-speed freehub?
@mdcc_tester :)

Can I use wheels with a 10-speed freewheel?
8-speed Shimano cassettes fit on 10-speed Shimano freehubs. Is that the answer to the question you were trying to form? :-)

8 is obviously 2 worse than 10.
-
• #71419
2 better, it scores like golf so 1 is the best.

Does that make a stationary spin bike even betterer?

So I'm trying to install my old cranks on the orlowski just to have a little go. However when I put the crankset onto the frame/Bb, I start tightening and before it even gets overly tight the crank is too close to the frame (where they meet) and it doesn't spin. Just to clarify, the crank arms aren't hitting anything, it just doesn't spin correctly if I tighten the drive side crank properly. The other side appears to be fine. I've taken the cranks off and the bb seems to be ok
HELP PLEASE

You need a bottom bracket with a longer spindle.

Are you using the same BB as you had them on before?

I am using the BB that came in the frame from cycle ps, I will find out how long the spindle is.
In theory my BB from rychtarski is Italian thread and the BB in orlowski must be aswell, so il just go 4 gold and swap the BB. @mdcc_tester
You can see the northern lights from the north coast of scotland, but you've ruined everything by saying you don't want to be outdoors and you don't want rain.
