Should be a pretty easy push, all the way to the clamp.

Meaning mostly don't do it, though tube designations vary enough so that trying when it's that close (you have it on hand?) is the only way to know for sure.

26.4 seatpost in 26.8 tube too much of a push?
I've done that*
*With some 8 thou shim stock in between.

If your nominal 26.8mm bore is anywhere near 26.4, your frame has bigger problems than finding the right seatpost.

You clearly haven't dealt with the end of the frame quality spectrum that I have.

What kind of headset spacers are those that mig is using? they look to be rough and not smooth. they seem to feature often in old school tt bikes from the 90's kinda thing.. Similar to the sugino top nut

Hey all, took my bike for a service as too lazy to degrease drivechain- they have recommended a rear wheel rebuild (legit) and pricing it up it is going to cost £104 with a new openpro rim and some type of sapim spokes. Question is, could I buy a wheel for less at similar quality? Current hub is Tiagra...

Surnames with colours: I have seen people with the surnames Green, Black, White, Brown but never a Yellow or a Red. Why is this? Do I need to get out more?
-
• #69968
What type of bag?
Pretty much this:
A million straps.
The main thing holding my stuff sack is a bungee with 3 hooks (one in the middle and one at each end).
The paracord I wrapped in a sort of large net pattern mainly so I had something to hold my Super U crocs but also as an extra securing method for the stuff sack.

I'm sure I was somewhere selling a pair of ulterga hubs built onto open pros for about £150 quid. Or evans sell rear Tiarga on open sport for £65ish.

More common colours in the environment? (totally a guess, but that would be my thought). Also possibly due to the times in history when languages develop words for specific colours (Homer's "wine dark sea" for instance)
-
• #69971
Second theory is out because "red" is typically one of the first colours that people develop a name for in language (prob due to its association with blood and relative importance thereof). There is a decent book with a lot about this in it called "Through the Language Glass".
Anyhoo, turns out somebody asked the Graun the same question: http://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/0,,-197458,00.html

It's even got hilarious jokes about how many "Hughes" they can find in the phone book. Only notes and queries correspondents would even remember phone books, bless 'em.

Reid and Roy mean red and Bowie is yellow, apparently.
