Then a two piece divan and a good mattress. IKEA do good mattresses but their divans are in one piece, I think.

Warren Evans are pretty good. We got it delivered and as part of that they build it, but it came in bits.

I want to make a sort of Tiki lamp out of wine bottles a la:
...a quick look online shows the wicks seem pretty pricey.
Does anyone know how I can make or source a cheaper wick? I want at least 5m worth.
Also I'm looking at these copper reducers:

Enterprise usually seem cheaper than the rest. But usually the most convenient one for pick and collection wins.

Usually wins for us because we're members. And we can collect and drop off.

I know a few firespinners and they make their own wicks - they're easy enough to do: http://www.ehow.co.uk/how_4813170_tiki-torch-wick.html

Horses in cycle tracks? The Met stables are close to the Tavistock cycle track and occasionally (quite rarely) there has been a massive pile of horseshit left as a surprise gift.
This got me wondering, how are horses classified in the grand scheme of things? Can they use advanced stop boxes?

Yeah the diameters are top and bottom. Might be best to go into wickes or bnq and get them as I'm unsure if it's 10mm x 8mm being the actual measurement or "to suit 10mm pipe and 8mm pipe" so it's a little bigger/smaller than expected so it can slot inside/around another pipe. You could just stand in the shop pushing them into the top of a bottle lol

Asking for a friend, anyone know any karaoke pubs in London where it's not a private room hire?
Like how the Birdcage was... -

Is there a safe way of running a fixed wheel without using a lockring?

In general, behind pedestrians but in front of everything else. Transport mode hierarchy in the UK is on a 'dibs' basis.

Yes, with separate brakes on each wheel.
-

Or with a bolt-on sprocket, obvs., but I don't imagine that changing your hub is in your plan.
-
• #69744
No, trying to use an existing hub.

Blue eyed maid is all karaoke all the time... There's no stage and the lyrics are on tv screens all across the pub so every song's a singalong. It's pretty entertaining though.

Get two brakes. Lockrings exist for a reason ;) (Although I've seen lockrings go indra but mostly due to rust issues)

Any recommendations for cheap puncture proof tyres in weird size 27x1 3/8 x 1/2 ?
-
• #69748
When I was last looking, the only decent 27" tyres (of any description) were Schwalbe Marathon and Panaracer Pasela: if they don't do them, you might be out of luck.
-
• #69749
You can also get Gatorskins in 27". Whether you count them as decent is another question.

If you have to ask that question you shouldn't try it!
(if you were experienced enough to do it you wouldn't be asking the question)
Whats the cheapest way to hire a small car for a a weekend trip to Portsmouth and back
