Winter tights query: what is the best out of
- unpadded waist tights
- unpadded bib longs
- padded bib longs
Do the unpadded options work out better as they can be layered over normal shorts/bibs and are thus in theory a bit warmer?
- unpadded waist tights
-
• #67405
You can layer padded tights over shorts for extra warmth, but you wouldn't want to wear unpadded tights on the days when you didn't want that extra layer.

Have honestly never overheated due to wearing tights over shorts and means I can use £15 unpadded PX bib tights rather than £80 Castelli ones.

If anything, the 1" fork is more of a problem these days than the Italian BB

Adobe help needed.
I have an illustrator file placed in an indesign document.
The illustrator file is solid black R=0, G=0, B=0, k=100
When I view the linked file in indesign it is still visible (faded) even with the black channel switched off in separations. So it shows like a process colour in Indesign .
Any ideas, haz googled briefly.

1 1/8 disc fork with mudguard mounts. Any suggestions? Mine destroyed in RTA.

Surly disc trucker or some other surly? Or are you looking for crabon?
-
• #67416
Crabon preferred. Am thinking possibly the enigma one. Have just emailed lynskey to check what a-c and trail/take they suggest.

You are the champion buyer. I think my workhorse needs a fairly comprehensive rebuild it was on the cards but fork, bars and wheels need replacing now.
Hope hubs - Ardennes or Belgium rims. Ergonova barsAm thinking I may as well replace group set etc.
Can you suggest where I should buy
Shimano hydraulics/mechanical shifters
Ultegra mechs (medium cage)

Can anyone tell me if these OEM(?) Jagwire cable sets are not worth getting? Seems suspiciously cheap. I have the Jagwire Road Pro set which I'm pretty impressed with.

If I have a 1 inch fork shimmed to 1 1/8 do I need a 1 inch top cap or normal one?
Also, the best way to get out a fucked star nut when access from the fork crown is not possible? -
• #67424
Cheers, thought maybe it'd have a little lip that sits in the internal diameter of the steerer so might need a smaller one.
-
• #67425
Assuming the shim doesn't extend past the top of the stem, you'll be able to use a normal 1,1/8" top cap
And if it does, just add an extra 1⅛" spacer so you can use a 1⅛" top cap anyway. You don't want to be using compression of the shim to adjust your bearing preload.
matching tyre headache.
anyone know where i can get this version of the durano plus?
