1250 mAh at an educated guess, and this thread https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?86244-Battery-life-Edge-1000-in-use/page2&highlight=BATTERY+LIFE+1000
and this
The unit houses a powerful, dual-core, 6000mAh lithium-ion battery, capable of recharging an iPhone 5 up to three times, a GoPro Hero3+ four times and a Garmin Edge 1000 four times. It is also compatible with a plethora of other 5V devices such as tablets (including iPad), iPods, digital cameras, sat phones and more.from here

Not what I wanted to hear since frame has come from a respected custom builder so I am inclinded to believe it has been faced.
But you have made me wonder if I wrecked the cups during my brutish mdf + mallet installation. Serves me right if I did.

I wrecked the cups during my brutish mdf + mallet installation.
That sounds more likely than my suggestion.
-
• #67006
Isn't it equally possible the cups just aren't in properly?

Techinically it's still open until like 8pm.

Yeah, but I want to cut through much later. I'll be trying again on Monday, just a waste of time riding down priory road then having to go back again.

My daily has developed a clunky knocking noise. It happens in the same place every crank turn but only when giving it the beans.
1/ is it the bb, chainring, bolts, something else?
2/ how many more miles before the bike and/or I die a painful death? -

- Yes
- Within about a century.

Awesome, I like danger

You'll probably have to check everything individually, look at all the things you listed and your pedals and chain, give them all a wiggle, if you can't find out what it is then remove one of them, clean, grease and reattach and try the bike again. If you do all of them and can't find it try other bits of the bike, if you still can't find it wear headphones when you ride.

What's the accepted minimum amount of seatpost to have showing on an old steel road bike? Trying to work out what I can get away with riding.
-
• #67018
"a fistfull"
-
• #67019
Perfect, that's sort of what I thought, even though it may look odd on big frames.
-
• #67020
Looked pretty normal until the 80s.
-
• #67021
To look acceptable? or the amount you can safety get away with?
-
• #67022
Look acceptable really, nowhere near an unsafe level.

can anyone recommend home removals companies in London? just the transit, for a 2 bed flat, preferably not too expensive.
-
• #67024
Don't know about removals but I have used HH van hire a few times. Just over 50 quid a day for a transit
-
• #67025
I'm late to the game here, but if 300 quid isn't a huge deal, go BA. If it is, Transat. (I fly BA when the difference is a bit less drastic, so do rate the difference between airlines as worth noting. But for 300...).
Also, BA > Air Canada.
what is the battery capacity of a Garmin Edge 1000 (in mAh)? My google foo is apparently weak
