Just cheap and nasty, but not cheap enough to justify how nasty they are. Basically an M515 pedal (which is so horrible they only supply them to OEMs) with an easily destroyed plastic cage. If you must have that style of pedal (and I'm not that convinced that anybody must), it's worth spending the extra £15 on the M545

So I ordered a bag from the states from a small company that a lot of us know fairly well, the bag I wanted is of a custom colour, a bit like what you can do with timbuk2... It arrived and it's not the colour I wanted, well same colour but totally different tone, like difference between bright red and crimson... and he got the custom design slightly wrong... Got a response from the bag maker and he gave me a casual sorry and told me to return the bag to their UK distributor without a mention of how he will refund me. Am I within my right to ask for a full refund using the same exchange rate as applied when I paid, inclusing postage, including the 3% PayPal handling fee, as well as the postage I now have to pay.
Alternatively, although the bag is of a different colour, it, nevertheless, is a nice bag and I have half a mind to ask for a partial refund for the disappointment...
There was no way he could have misunderstood te exact colour I wanted as gave me a specific example and mock up with the design...
I am going away next week and was looking forward to using this bag and if I had to return it, then I am left with my t level which would be too big for this trip...
Thoughts?

what life insurance should I get so that my gf and baby get some money if I die? who with and how much should I be paying a month? will it cover being run over?
Talk to an Independent Financial Advisor, google your nearest one if you don't know any.
How much you pay will depend on your age, hobbies, medical history and how much you want it to pay out. £500k cover for a self-employed, one-armed 75 year old tree surgeon who smokes 40 a day and goes base-jumping will be dearer than £50k cover for a 20 year old nun.
Yes, it will cover being run over, unless you're run over competing in sidecar racing and you didn't get cover for your sidecar racing hobby.

What's the best way to attach a rear light to an aero seat post? Is their a particular light, attachment system or method that works well?

There's a thread on TTForum , personally I use a custom bracket on the seat clamp or the saddle rail mount that comes with Moon Comets and Crescents, and I've just snagged some Moon RB-19 brackets to attach a Comet/Crescent to the back of my Fizik Tritone in between the two bottles.

Unlike the others I don't mind the PD-M424. I had them on my commuter which I use with MTB SPD shoes when commuting and with flat shoes for nipping to the shops or 5-a-side. Haven't had any problems with them in flat shoes.
Recently replaced them with PD-T400 (Click'R) as I'd buggered one side of the M424s by consistently ramming the bike away in the shed against the pedal (they lasted years of this abuse). The PD-T400's are still SPD but with built in reflectors so legal at night. Heavier and much much looser than the M424s but haven't had an unclip moment on my commute and I'm fairly brutal with them.
I'd rather stab myself repeatedly in the face with a rusty spoon than go back to any kind of single-sided SPDs (like A-530s or the Wellgo equivalents).
If you don't care about flat shoes then M520 are cheap and entry level. I use them (or M540s) on my Audax bikes so they've been good for thousands of miles.

+1 to single sided pedals being shit (except on a fifty plus road ride)
Flipping pedals? Ain't no one got time for that.

Just learn to track stand properly and then you don't need to unclip...

I'm going to grab an exposure flare and buy the special bracket for saddle attachment if anyone is interested.

Don't do it. Get the Tracer, flares always fail with water getting inside them.

British Cycling or London Cycling. Any reason to join one over the other?
It's mainly for the insurance/legal support, not sure what other benefits there are.

Is compressionless brake housing with mechanical disk brakes worth it?
If so, which cables are best?
-

Compressionless brake housing will change your life.

Depends which brakes and which levers. Road levers and brakes then pretty much, yah, unless you are a featherweight. I didn't bother with them this year out of lazyness and I didn't die.
Dunno what the best cables are at the mo, the Gore ride-on ones were tres bon but not available now.

I'm biased, as I'm an LCC Board member, so obviously my vote would be for the LCC.
It depends on what you want in addition to the legal stuff, really. With the LCC you support your local grassroots organisation in its campaigning. BC is better if you want to race.

Moon saddle rail brackets are the cheapest.
Adapt it to your specific needs by using Sugru. Works for me.
Plastic cage, slippery when wet?
