I'm about to bin some MTB shoes that I've worn out. Other than the ratchet buckles, which I'm keeping, and the cleats, which are shot, are there any other parts I should scavenge before they hit the bin? I remember some people on here wanted binned MTB shoes for bits of the sole to retrofit cleats to Vans / Converse etc.

Twenty past ten, our neighbour is an opera singer and is singing - practice, presumably.
This is too late, surely, for this to be a reasonable thing for him to be doing?

Live with it, that is what you get when the neighbourhood slums up.

On a Friday night, could be worse.
First offence? So long as it stops by midnight, write a note tomorrow asking if it's going to be regular and outlining some times you'd be OK with.

Call the RSCPA.

I find passive aggressive notes are the best way of influencing behavior
I'd speak to him directly, mention you have some drums, and that you might get tempted to kick off those 1am practice sessions if the war escalates.

I have a pair of chinos I love, that were perfect, I wore them every day and the crotch has blown out, the zip broke etc, and I can't find anywhere that stills stocks them. Is there anywhere someone can recommend that can copy trousers well if I took them the old pair? I don't mind paying good money (£100-£200) but not horrifically expensive.

Start your own a capella death metal ensemble and hold your practice sessions at midnight.

I hear the fucktones need somewhere to audition for a replacement slainer?

The heel pads if they are replaceable? Mine are gone on my sidi road shoes and I would keep those if I were to bin the shoe.

Find a tailor to make copies.

How do Koolstop Salmon compare to Swisstop Green or Blue pads? Need new pads dont want to spend as much. One of the biggest benefit of Swisstop I've noticed is that the rim and wheels stay clean after a wet ride ..

U been riding in the rain?

In my experience, Kool stop aren't quite as good as Swiss stop when it comes to braking performance and wear quicker, but are way superior to stock pads.
If you don't want to pay Swiss stop prices then they are a good alternative.

Access shouldn't be an issue, it's going in a ground floor front room. It weighs 100kg, so 25kg more than the non-bed version, but just about the same as an overweight corpse. Definitely manageable.

Getting the sofabed in my downstairs front room was a pain in the arse, not looking forward to moving it out again.
Very much this, friendships and backs have been ruined moving these things around.
