  • Another reason why a lot of beer isn't vegetarian.

  • The finings, if you do a brewery tour it sort of tells you all.

  • If you buy Co-op or M&S's own brand drinks, the label will have vegan or vegetarian indicated and I know co-op specify the fining used.

  • Suggestions for a nicely designed bike bell?

  • Ooo, custom engraving on the Lion Bell.. that looks perfect!

Specific body modification services for circuses?

  • Haha! Rule 34.

  • That's a genre I'm definitely not curious about.

  • I'm after a fork mounted cable hanger for my caad x. Ideally it'd have a built in barrel adjuster and be fitted with a traditional bolt and nut as found on old road brakes (not a recessed allen nut a la modern brakes) because the hole in the fork isn't big enough.

Has anyone seen such a thing in a shop in London? Condor have hangers but they've not got barrel adjusters.

  • Does anyone know who was selling that Van Nicholas saddle last week?? I can't find it. Obvs it might have gone. PM me. Ta.

  • Ha! It was Telescope1608 and you're right, someone has bought it...

I'm using it as an axle stand.

    :) xx

  • Haa. Bollox I had me eye on that!

Crack on. Just don't try and return it!

  • :)

It's probably just temporary, I'll give you a shout...

  • Cheers. I just fancy picking it up tomorrow is all.

  • Is unverifiability actually a word? I need the noun of unverifiable, and I am a little confused as to if unverifiability is technically a proper word??

  • Both Merriam-Webster and Collins say yes. On the other hand, I think I might rewrite to avoid it, as it's a bit sesquipedalian and might read awkwardly.

  • thanks, it's just a header word for a bullet point thingy. So a noun is beter, I think.

  • sorry another question, I could probably go back pages or search for the answer on one of the other threads, but still trying to get used to the new and exciting forum, and really havent' a clue with keywords to search for...

If a cyclist is killed by a car, what is the maximum the driver can be charged with? Is it just dangerour driving or driving wthout due care? Can you charge them with manslaughter? Like if I have just had an argument with a driver and he then run me over, what would he be charged with, most likely?

It's a weird question to ask and I guess it really depends on each case, but I am sure I have read somewhere that a driver, despites the intention of having a cyclist killed, can only be charged with driving without due care, and usually is only fined and given suspended sentence?

FIY, this is for my thesis... I have no plan to run any of you guys over yet...

  • Maybe a policeman or probation officer could help you with this? I've been in contact with both in the course of my life and neither were as grumpy as they're said to be. I doubt there's an easy answer though - it might depend on a few things, such as whether it gets referred to CPS / Crown Court or not and there are plenty of political intricacies involved in both.

  • Oh yeah, I know that, but I remember seeing a few fairly high profile cases in the last couple of years and I dont remember any drivers actually got "what the deserved", but then even this is subjective... to a point.

Besides, this bit of info will only account for 1 paragraph of my entire thesis, so I am just lazy and looking for a quick confirmation of what I think it's right.

  • Make it up. I have the power to sign passport photos - don't see why I can't vouch for this.
