LBS? It'll be a vaguely standard axle because you don't have to use special Miche track nuts on it.
This turned out to be an excellent answer. I went to the London Cycle Workshop in Battersea/Clapham Junction, and despite being very busy, the dude there replaced the locknut on the spot - it is just a standard part. He also gave me some little mudguard quick release clip things, and some friendly and helpful advice. All this, and in return he only asked for me to get him a pint of milk from the cornershop next door.
Just two days before this I went to another LBS, Phoenix Cycles near Battersea Park, where the friendly guy there helped me get a stuck bottom bracket cup out - again on the spot - and charged me only £1.
Now, I wouldn't have felt too aggrieved if I'd be charged £10 on each of these occasions, as a minimum labour charge or whatever. After all, they have to pay their rent and staff, and they have a lot of expertise. But the fact that I've been charged a grand total of £1 and a pint of milk, and both repairs were done on-the-spot with no booking needed or anything, makes me especially determined to use these local independent shops whenever I can.
Sorry for spamming the AQA thread but bigging them up in return for such good service is the least I could do.

otp 40 hole trick / track hubs
do they exist ? at reasonable pricesi have a 40h nice mavic rim i want to build to something
Has to be 40? You can get 48 wheels from BLB, not quite otp as they build to order.
You can get loads of bmx hubs with 48hole as well as blb hubs... And velocity deep v's, chuckers and a few other rims come in 48.
I think easier to source in the uk than 40.

I need an easy to say alias name to go by as I am tired of saying my name over and over, yelling in peoples ears in clubs etc and people still failing to get it or pronounce it.
Anyone got some ideas?
Something that attracts the least amount of giggles or ethnic curiosity please, but not some dull christian name like John, Tom etc..

Booze, why ruin a winning formula, if they didn't like it they wouldn't do it again.
