  • http://www.lfgss.com/thread36761.html - or your local police force. Unlikely to do anything without evidence or clear harm, but she might have had complaints before.

    Done.

Agreed that it's unlikely anything will happen but I was shocked at how dangerously she acted. I feel better that it's at least been reported.

  • Anyone know where I can get some fake oakley frogskins?

    eBay

  • +1 audacity

  • Q
any reason why you cant run un-hosed cable on a top tube like this: example

  • Q: Can anyone loan me a tandem for weekend 3rd & 4th Aug? Please!

  • Nosier: I assume you are talking about only running the inner cable along the top tube.

If that's the case then you can but it can damage more quickly. You would have to make a stop in the beginning and at the end so the outer cable won't move. It's easy to do, just not the smartest thing to do.

  • Where have all the 54 langsters gone eh?

  • Odds on a good will replacement from SRAM? 2.5 years old (std SRAM warranty is two years). Bought from a US LBS via ebay.com. Any point whining to them about the Ergo 2s, S-Works Prevail, Rapha club jersey and packet of Bevia breakfast biscuits that have been destoryed in the resulting crash?

did you use the pedal washers? I vaguely remember there being a leaflet with my omniums saying to use the washers to stop this happening. i am not a mdcc tester though.

  • I went overdrawn the other day, which made no sense to me. Checked my statement, realized I had forgotten to cancel the standing order for rent at my old gaff which I left a couple of months ago. Two extra payments sent. Oh shit, cancelled the standing order and rang them up to let them know. Checked my statement a couple of days later, and now it's only showing one payment sent, and apparently I've never been overdrawn. Wut? Can you retrospectively cancel a standing order? Now the old gaff landlords must think I was trying it on asking for two months refund. FFFFFFFFuuuu.

  • Cheers for the USB replies.

I've got a letter saying I have to pay import duty on something I bought from the States.

I want it delivered to my work address.

I'm trying to pay for it online: https://www.royalmail.com/feetopay

What address do I put for contact details?

It's a present and the last thing I need is for it to go to my home and then have to wait 48hrs to pick up from a depot.

    Cheers.

  • ^^Yeah, one washer per side. I can't see them being warranteed, so have been thinking this morning about what I can replace them with. Can't really think of a good alternative that fits the same sort of criteria bar maybe the Rotor track cranks. Not that I think that Omniums are inherently flawed and that a change is going to reduce the likelyhood of this happening again. Not rationally anyway.

  • I've got the Rotor's, they are very nicely made- I cannot say whether or not they'd suffer the same failure as your Omnomnoms though I'm afraid.

I do like the modular nature of the Rotor- you can swap arms to different spiders and so forth.

  • Re: Riding without headset spacer

If the threaded top race is tight enough it will be fine to get me home right?

I do like the look of the Rotors and I love the ones on my road bike. Did I just imagine it or is there some way of getting cheap Rotor componoents (Spanish Ebay, German retailers or one specific supplier)?

  • Where can I get a decent milkshake near Shoreditch?

Too late have to leave it :(

    Is that slang?

  • Do I need a 54 or would a 52 langster fit?

From your description, it sounds like you have a threaded steerer, but no way of tightening up the upper cone/race against a locknut. This means that should you ride the bike, the top race will almost certainly become loose.
Depending on your personal preferences, you may ride the bike and hand-tighten the headset as you go. The looser it gets, and the longer you leave it loose, the higher the probability that you will damage the headset bearings/races.
If it's a beater with a shitty headset that one would replace anyway, I'd go for it.
If it's a pristine vintage Campag one, then I'd think twice.
    YMMV.

  • Thank you.
Specifically though, with routers not designed for it - assuming you can fox the housing of course - there's no reason why you can't?

  • Q
Why won't my EAI cogs fit on my Phil Wood track hu?! I've read they're both Campag threading ISO. is that incorrect?
Dura Ace threading is NJS, yet they fit on Phil Woods?!?!

    Frustrated like a mofo
