those old Aliums are fine for riding fixed. If you can give them a once over just check the springs aren't loose, chances are they're fine. So if you're buying online just go for it.

THRILLING BATTERY UPDATE:
- Charger indicated a full battery
- Used a glue gun to seal the broken insulation
- Plugged it into bike
- Bike showed "half charge"
- Plugged battery back into charger- started charging at once
The last time I took it off the charger and connected it back onto the bike the Di2 system reported a full charge, so the difference here is the addition of the glue.
I think, anyway- correlation and causation being often mistaken for one another.
Anyone actually know anything about this sort of thing?
