Depends how you define "track chain". Most (by sales volume) ½"×⅛" bicycle chain is bushingless because that's what KMC & YBN make, for their own brand and for OEM. On the other hand, all the nice NJS chains (Izumi, HKK, DID) and the good Wippermanns have bushes.

In general, yes, though in my experience how well it works can vary depending on the particular model of brake.

KMC catalogue used to have a logo for bushingless next to nearly every chain they listed (now they just point out that one chain, the B1, has bushes), same for YBN on their web site. With Wippermann you have to rely on the catalogue images
