its back bolt. I'm thinking of buying an air frame, but the bolt is missing and there is a groove cut in the seatpost, which i dont think should be there
that's not a columbus air seatpost - !

if the seat tube is air and the vendor is stuffing that down it then the seat tube will be deformed, steer clear
the air seatpost is often missing from 'air' frames/bikes, so a substitute is used instead, sometimes shimano ax, sometimes other

I bought tickets for Matilda on my phone a couple of months back, for some time in April. Now I can't find anything in my email about this, nothing's been sent in the post, but the money's gone from my account. I'm being daft, I know, but what do I do?

Do the people you bought it off theatre/box office etc, have a physical customer service desk you can visit? Just go to them with a printout of bank statement and they should sort it out.

This is where I kick myself: I can't remember who I bought it through. It was an online service, TicketMaster or one of those types.

Is it possible to get a 26.4 crown race onto a 27.0 crown?
I have tried, and it seems evenly seated. But there is a hairs breadth of gap all the way around. Ok to ride?
Anyone?

You probably won't die*, but either buying the right crown race or getting your steerer cut down to the correct size would be the right way to go, as you already know.
*but you might, and it's not my fault if you do.

Is it possible to buy crown races on their own? The headset is a 1" threaded Shimano 105.
This headset claims to be italian sized. Dia Compe GRAND COMPE SE Headset BLACK (1") Italian Fitment (Free UK Postage): Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Leisure
But the crown race is still 26.4 and not 27.0 -

Maybe. When I get home from work I'll take a look on the statement and see what the name of the company that received the payment is called.

One for mdcc tester (or someone who knows) : some time ago you mentioned a third-party track/single speed chainring suitable for modern (hollow) Shimano Road Cranks. Where was it from and could you provide the link again please ?

Sorry but a boring question here. I need a BB for my all weather commuter bike, it needs a basic square taper type. I was looking a few from shimano on CRC and they have 3 different ones, one is only £5, another £12 and one for £14. Trouble is i can't tell the difference between them, can anyone help/suggest or recommend?
Heres a link to all BB's.

Buy two UN26 while they have them at that discount. There's not much difference, and two cheap ones will give better service than one mid-range model. Between the other two, the UN55 is worth the extra £2 over the UN54 which it supersedes, thanks to the metal NDS cup.
