This is possible, I'm not 100% sure. Worth the cost of a CD-R to find out though, I guess.
We have a NAD C 660 audio cd recorder that utilized ( past tense) audio cds. When I recorded on that machine, there was a better chance that those discs would play in other units, compared to cdrs. The machine still plays, but audio cds are no longer available around here. Oh well, at least I missed the Betamax train.

you seriously cannot buy audio cd's anymore?

And those are cd-rs, not audio cds.
-
• #25709
Wups, my mistake, I think. Looks like they would work on a cd recorder.

Fair enough, when I burn cds these days I just get the cheapest anyway.

What are the best bang for buck noise cancelling phones available?
Prefer small, bud type, not in-ear if I can help it, not over-ear if I can help it.
They will only be used for long flights - I have other phones for work and stuff. So far Audio Technica ANC23 seem ok (reviews suggest they MUST fit ears well or will not work) and my friend has suggested AKG K 480 NC headphones but the reviews suggest break the cable and you're up shit creek.

has anyone managed to get external subtitle files (.srt etc) working with windows media centre? I cannot get the bastard things working at all.
why do microsoft have to be so awkward -
• #25716
Ten four Sparky, that's exactly what you need to do.
If it's any consideration, I damaged my expander in the past as well.
Once the Head Doctor is in and tightened, compressing the headset, and I've done the stem up, is it holding any pressure anymore? Or does the stem then take over?
-
• #25717
The stem should hold if you remove the preload adjuster, but in practice it doesn't always. My recommendation is to add more torque (up to 5Nm) to the preload adjuster screw after tightening the stem's steerer clamp bolts.

Ok, I'll give it a go - just don't want to snap another...

Why does ITV depend so heavily on vacant Philip Schofield for presenting duties?

The M6 screw will be nowhere near snappage at 5Nm. You might pull the expander up through the steerer. If you go more than a turn or two on the tension screw without a noticeable increase in torque, that's what is happening, so stop and reassemble, possibly with some grip paste between the expander and the steerer.
