hmm, interesting - so the white sticks have grooves in each long face, and the flat pieces have thin edges that slot in? like tongue and groove planking?
Yes, exactly.
how big could you make things? the pieces look quite small in that photo, did they come in different sizes?
No, they were normed to exactly one size, a couple of cm square (can't remember how large exactly). However, closer investigation reveals that they've since introduced different sizes of pieces and that you can actually still get it:

I thought it had long been discontinued. Admittedly, the two sets on offer are pretty small, but it still exists.

What the hell can explain why my Word has suddenly changed language?
What language has it changed to?
Why won't it change back when I tell it to change back to English?
Please help, this is driving me crazy! Word for Mac 2011 btw.

Polski
Thanks. Have NO idea why it changed to Polish...
But I've managed to solve my problem, in case anybody is interested, apparently you have to select all the text before you change the language, just telling it to change does not change the whole document...or so it seems anyway.
Man that was annoying.
Would still be interested to know why it did that if anyone's got any ideas.

My cat caught it last summer in sunny Birmingham. I think CYOA is correct, looks a lot like particular versions of Goldfinch.

Anyone want to ID this cog? White, 5 cut-outs, 18th 1 1/8th. Can't see any identifying marks, but it doesn't seem generic.

I need a drill that can drill into a brick and concrete. I frequently borrow a mates but he's moved away so am thinkign about buying one.
In the past I've made poor power tool decisions so I think I need to ask the forum for advice.
Anyone recommend a drill (not cordless) that will do the job of drilling holes in brickwork? Not willing to pay stupid amounts (I looked online and immedaitely saw the £600 ones) but want one that will be reliable and last.
Any ideas?

I've got one that looks like this:
Black & Decker EPC148BK 14 Volt Cordless Hammer Drill (with 2 Batteries and Carry Case): Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools
Cheapish, works fine, has done for a few years.(I'm absolutely no expert though)

Corded SDS, Makita are good, I have a DeWalt and it has been awesome- £150 or so I believe.
It can drill through anything.
That black and decker would be fine for drilling into wood, and screwdriving- and maybe going through light plaster.
For concrete/old brick, it is going to be out of its depth.

Are cordless ones powerful enough to get through brick?
I've always loved all Lego-like things.
