Is £35 delivered a suitable amount for a Shimano Dura-Ace CS-7401 Hyperglide 8 Speed Cassette?
I'm quite happy spending £35, but not if it's a rip off?
Considering new DA cassettes at the moment are £60-£100, it seems an OK price.

@NurseHolliday - good price - I'm after one myself, where did you find it and what is the capacity/range of the sprockets?

One of my ex-girlfriends was possibly the tightest person on the planet when it came to spending money.
She would always choose the flight at 03.00 hours as it would be £5 cheaper than the one at 08.00.
I tried to explain the concept of a false economy to her, with little success- but then she was half Greek.

A few left, I put in an offer of 22.50, counter offer of 27.50, with 7.50 postage, £35 altogether.
12-21 330g (I know you were interested in weight)

Hi London dudes, What are the deepest section aluminium rims? The follow up question is; will these be stronger than the Halo Aerorage rim that's got a snapped spoke in it?
Thanks dudes.

Where can I get a cheapish print of a map of the Greater London area from around the 1850s or so?

What's cheapish?

I don't know... what's a normal price for this sort of thing? Basically I don't want to pay any more than I would have to. If it could be had for £15 quid I would snap it up immediately, if it was £40 then I would wait for a time to treat myself whilst if it was over £50 then I wouldn't get one.

Thanks, looks pretty good. Will drop by the shop cos the website isn't working.

It's an easy shop to waste an hour or two in.

There was a map of London from about then at the John Martin Apocalypse exhibition and I spent ages just staring at it before I realised how lame that was.
Thanks for your link, I think I found what I wanted, on the Stanfords website they only sold it as a pack of four but found it elsewhere.
This is what I'm gonna buy in case anyone is interested:

But yeah I will also definitely drop by the Stanfords shop. Think I have the potential to be a map nerd. -

take your time with a primer + paint + lacquer and the necessary papers and it'll look just fine, but it'll also cost more than you initally expect and take you several days.

Can you convert a Chris King 2nut to an ahead?
Is it a case of replacing one part of the top,..
Yes, you can. You need the stem cap and bolt, and the bearing cap as per here;

I have a prescription dated November 2011 and non-local (GP surgery is 60 miles away). Can I still pop in to the local pharmacy and buy drugs with it or is it no way jose?

My Wife has an Emmelle Boulevard Classic bike, that's no longer wanted. It seems that they're shit. Well, the whole brand is now anyhow.
Is it mean to donate it to a bike charity, and would I therefore be better off selling it for scrap?
If its not mean, can anyone suggest a charity that overhauls bikes, training people to do it at the same time, and then sells them on, or ships them abroad to e.g. Africa etc.

...Should my hubs, cranks and brake calipers be:
a) black
b) silverEither would look good. All black makes it very functional and slightly brutal, silver will make it look a little more traditional. I think the colour of the spokes is decides the rest...
Silver Spokes:
- hubs = silver
- cranks = silver
- brake calipers = silver
Black Spokes*:
- hubs = black
- cranks = black
- brake calipers = black
I think having the cranks, hubs and spokes matching looks good, because they're all roughly in line, and the crank counterbalances the wheels. IMO the *default *position is hubs and spokes should match.
*and I'd use silver nipples to offset the silver braking surface.
- hubs = silver
Every time I see a post from Oliver now, I have to brace myself.
