either.
I'm not sure what it is.
Currently painting the pipes in a water/ soap mix to check for leaks.
The pipes are brand new, as is the boiler so occums razor would suggest its something else.It doesn't smell like that.

Usual process if you suspect a leak is not to fanny about with water and soap, but to GTFO and call British Gas. But if it doesn't actually smell like gas from your oven, you should maybe paint your dog / wife / kids / self (delete as appropriate) with soapy water to find the culprit.

Yeah, I think it was just some unburnt/ not fully combusted within the boiler.
(its in a cellar)
Not there anymore. In my world, there's no need to panic, unless you need to panic.

I'm going to be putting a wide set of Noddle bars on a 90's steel cx bike that I want to build up with the ultimate aim of doing some touring on in sept.
The question is can some one recommend some suitable drop brake levers.
I'll be running canti's and bar end shifters. Most of all I'd like them to be comfortable, but it would be good if they fit aethetically with classically shapped bars.
Part of me thinks some old shimano ones from ebay would be easiest, but the. I wonder if there's something more fitting that's modern.
Cheers.

Aren't those for v brakes? Or is my google Fu out?
I was looking at the tigra ones from ribble... seem to be cheap and cheerful.

I used 'em for years on cantis, no problems.

Sorry to ask so many questions and be indecisive, but I'm now thinking about the Tektro Rl520s (drop v-brake leavers) and then also running some decore v-brakes I've got knocking around.
The RL520s seem to get good write ups and are sub-£20. I stupidly misread "a pair" of canti's on Ribble as being front + back, so I need leavers + one another canti, which means for me the v-brakes work out cheaper.
In truth the thing that's holding me back is the looks. I think V-brakes will look a bit ugly on a skinny tubed steel frame.
So are there any good reasons for not using v-brakes and the Tektro RL520s? One things for sure, they'll be easier to set up.

I have several coats and jumpers with a hood. I look stupid when I put up the hood. I want my hood to look like Emperor Palpatine's. Will a wire coat hanger do or is there a specific hoodlookingcool kit I can buy?

will a c record circa late '80's 7 speed hub cassette convert to 8 speed?
please Jim, can you fix it for me? -
• #24093
Yes. If it is a cassette. If it is a screw on block you'll need a new hub.

Can this brake lever be used as a primary brake lever set one with these brakes
Or can anyone recommend something better? The bars need a 31.8mm lever, and the brakes would ideally cover a 50-60mm drop range (drop on front forks is 55-60, and rear is 50-55).

Right so I was going to buy the tickets to Berlin for tomorrow that were in the Classifieds as I needed to go anyway for a bit of research. It hasn't worked out as the name change etc would have been too expensive, Easyjet are robbing fuckers.
Anyway, I was pretty keen to go, had a work schedule lined up and a Union Berlin friendly planned, even though I only thought about buying them today.
How much does it cost just to rock up at the airport and fly to Berlin? We're talking lowest end here, (though I won't fly Ryanair out of principle)? Does it ever get cheaper on the day? Is it worth trekking to Gatwick for?
are you sure? because i know it says it costs £100 or something to change a name on the website but when i called up to change a name they did it for free over the phone. was to berlin last year with easyjet..

Yes. If it is a cassette. If it is a screw on block you'll need a new hub.

Iron the hood, it should keep shape for a little while.
