  • it isn't already?

  • yeah. i've got some bad news Balki.
the postdoc i tasked to do that work was incompetent. they spent all the money on pointlessly trying to put a lung into fish.

    So no gills then?

    puts speedos on eBay

  • I could have a go Balki?

I reckon you'd suit some Dogfish gills.

  • of course....bangs hand on head :P

  • back to JMol: can you download the individual amino acid files somewhere or do i have to draw the bastard myself?

    think this is it...
I should really dig out my practical work on this.
    i'm rusty as hell.

  • Time to start a Forum Pseud's Corner?

    Well, there was this:

  • track question guys, i'm building a track bike, for track, and track riding, do I need track specific bars or will regular road bars be ok?

  • You don't need specific bars (beyond them being drop and having grip/tape on them) for HH.

This is the total of my track knowledge.

    And it's probably wrong.

  • My turn - any good cafes in Dalston which I can get a good cup of coffee, chill out with a laptop, some headphones, a couple of books, and not be bothered?

  • yeah, we're riding newport not HH so I imagine things may be different in an indoor velodrome,

  • Road bars are fine, just make sure they're taped and plugged. Madison/6-Day riders mostly use road bend bars, since the flat top provides a good base for hand slings.

Could try "we love you tina" on the back way to Newington Green from Kingsland Road, not sure about being a quiet place as its usually quite busy but they do pretty good coffee...
Vortex also could be an option?

  • It's called 'Tina, we salute you', actually.

  • oops, knew it was something to do with a gesture of appreciation and a lady called Tina!

  • Cafe Otto has a nice atmosphere

  • link fail.

  • link fail.

    cheers, fixed

  • I think you'd need to be in love with old yellow Looks to take a punt on that. For £100, you could get something much less risky in steel if you just want an old road bike.

  • thanks, very much.

  • bit of info on the kg171, 25mm dia. seat posts being one inconvenience..

  • anniversary present or no anniversary present?

  • depends on your forecast for the longevity of your relationship

Thanks for the link, seems like it's going to be right pain, not to mention vertical dropouts for my single speed plans.

anniversary present or no anniversary present?

    i would

  • depends on your forecast for the longevity of your relationship

Quite right, if you think it's a lifetime thing, you don't want to set a precedent now which you'll be held to for decades to come.
