I have these handlebars on my roadbike:
They are an unidentified model of Ritchey WCS carbon bars:
I'd like to have a longer "drop" section, ideally with a different model of Ritchey bar.
I saw Sumo's Logic II's, which looked like they might fit the bill- is this the case? What others would be good to consider?

There's a link somewhere to a website that compares many brands/shapes of handlebars. But I don't know where it is. Someone else will :)

I've got a pair of 105 SL pedals and some cleats that you're welcome to borrow if you wanted to try them out.
Mate, that'd be great! I'll have to source some shoes first, though. Cheers!

6pt- this one? http://ruedatropical.com/2009/03/road-drop-bar-geometry/
The chap doesn't like ergo style drops so leaves them out.

You don't seem to get a flat transition to the hoods with a "standard" drop bar though.

wcs carbon streems are 145 drop

You do with modern ones, which have tighter corners than old bars like Cinelli 66 thanks to modern materials science.

OK, what's the best bicycle tool out there to carry with you for emergencies. You know the multi-tool type thing but which one and why?

They're all rubbish...

There must be one out there that rocks rather than carrying around a small tool kit?

Small tool kit FTW...

The one Ed has. It's shit, but it fits in the pocket.

You might be approaching the question in the wrong way.
- Why do you think you need a multitool?
- The times when you've needed tools, what broke and what did you end up needing to fix the problem?
- How often are you out of range/hours of a bike/hardware shop?
Personally I only ever make sure I have something if I'm on my road bike. Then I just have one of the cheap park ones (allen keys and screwdrivers) plus tyre leavers, tube, gas canisters. If it's just going around london, then I think anything that breaks will either be fatal, or can be ridden away carefully, or I'll walk to a shop.
Failing all, you can take a cab, which will probably be under £20... which is probably about what you'll spend on an 'emergency' tool you don't use.
If it's for an mtb, then I recon a quick google search for mtb forums will probably give you a better answer.

Two years of trouble free ownership, It replaced an earlier version which was lost. Usual Park quality.

Uni loans...
I spent like 6 years at uni back home. Should I mention it while applying in the UK?
Can I get a student loan if I have some study under my belt (early 90s) or it's better to start anew?I can either continue something similar (either film or any humanistic subject) to preserve the credits or start from scratch - maybe radiology, as I'm too old for medicine. If I start from scratch I can't count my previous study in anyway.

Are these bars going to be snide?
They have definitely more grip in the drops then your ergos.
-
• #20524
Yeah, the shape of the drop looks good- just wondering if buying them from Taiwan is a sure fire way of buying a fake.

No reason to think they would be at $200, but Ribble have them in stock at £152
