What is wrong with Aerospokes? I've just had a look at one in person for the first time.
Everybody says they are heavy but in reality they aren't much heavier than any other cheapish aero wheel.
This WW page has them down at 1,300g.
Which for one wheel sounds pretty heavy to me.

Cheers Hugo. I agree but what about for use on the flat or for TTing? I've got 50mm aero wheels that are not far off that weight and absolutely fly!
For town use I hate having heavy wheels...my knees scream at me pulling away from lights.
But what about fast flat use?

Aaaah. Something about poor lateral stiffnes on that link. Starting to get to the bottom of it now.

Well the WW thread says they are heavy (as in x2 a normal front), not aero, and not stiff. They don't put any sources to back this up tho. And the posters are not any less fallible than those on here.
I liked this post:
I tell my friends that they aren't actually aero, that they are a boatanchor of a wheel, but the only response they can sum up is, they look sick when I'm doing skids though...
^ which is why imo spoks should only be rocked on the rear.

Why do people write "repped" when they rep someone? The person knows they've been repped, why do the rest of us need to know? Like buying a friend a drink in a pub and then going over to the next table and saying "I just bought my friend a drink". What is supposed to happen; they all clap you for your generosity or they all think, well, I'd better buy him one as well?

I love the fact that the link about Aeropsokes on Weight Weenies posted by Hugo was locked by a moderator because it mentioned Hipsters too much.

Just got a new BB in the post and it looks like this;
I didn't know what to expect, but presumed the wedged end should come off, but it's wedged on pretty firmly. Could it be damaged already? Will I damage it trying to get it off?

Typical 653 frame should be a 27.2.
Only BMX frames and strange peugout's are 25.4.
Raleigh always used to be 1 inch
Odd pugs are usually less than 1 inch -

^ ^ You mean the left cup is jammed in that position?

Hit it with something soft to unjam it, piece of wood or similar

I'll give it a go, but I'm worried it may have taken a helluva whack already to get stuck as firmly as it has. -

Awesome - smacked it hard, and it's come loose. Looks pretty tough.
Thanks again.
