http://www.companiesmadesimple.com/silver-company-formation.html
Is this going to be some scammy nonsense with hidden charges galore? Or is it, as it appears to my, possibly naive, mind - pay 50 quid up front and you've got yourself a Limited Company?
What about down the line?
In theory, if you used the Barclay's Business account that it comes with - (though you could just apply for your own) what happens if you don't have any clients - ever? What are the minimum payments you would have to make if the business venture didn't succeed?
Is it just a case of paying for services you use and interest you accrue? Or is it more like a subscription - pay* x* amount per year for banking with us? Cancellation fees if it goes tits up? (90% of small businesses don't get through the first year blah blah)
Their own site doesn't seem to say what happens after the year is up:
Positives of the first link:
Apparently easy to set up
Companies House fee included
Necessary certification (It appears to include all the necessary ones)
Fancy EC1 postcode for a registered address for a year.Negatives:
Hit me:
None of them are scams, but it pays to read up on what your responsibilities are and what you get for the package.
I use http://www.completeformations.co.uk/companyfaqs/index.html and http://www.brightonformations.co.uk/ both provide an efficient service.
As regards a business bank account I'd recommend Co-op business.
If you're serious it's also worth getting to grips with HMRC online demos for webfiling with respect to NIC&PAYE, allowable expenses, Corporation Tax & VAT.
Hope some of the above provides clarity; running Ltd Co's isn't very hard as long as you keep everything tidy and on-time

My dad is thinking about getting an electric bike, I know nothing about the things, can someone recommend any?
What are his reasons/motivating factors?
Just something to help him up the hills, or does he want to tootle around everywhere with the twist of a wrist?
i.e. would he be better off with a moped?
he's got breathing problems which can come on quite quick, he's always cycled to work but when he's bad he can't. i think he'd like to have something than he can use when he's ok and can help him when he's struggling. He's tried a moped before and didn't get on with it.
just bumping this to a new page

Doc say don't worry, the pain is just an annoyance and should stop a few days after finishing the course.
Great, so another week of this then ):

i noted in an interview with Mark Cavendish that he uses the aluminium ergonova pro bars as they are stiffer than the 2 carbon versions of the same bar and he felt the weight penalty was worth it.
Cav uses PRO bars, not 3T. He might've used 3T in the past.
He had his own, stiffer, version of the Pro Vibe bar made up. -

Stem stayed the same, only the bars changed.
I still have them- you are welcome to test them- first time I rode the bike I thought they were going to snap.
Main reason I shifted them was the flex- they are very light. Thanks, I've already got too many handlebars kicking about. When I destroy another set I'll let you know.

I had a crash on sunday and my helmet is broken. It was a large Giro Atmos, I loved it (comfortable, ventilated, quite light).
I'm trying to find another one for the cheapest price possible. Have looked at french vendors, wiggle and crc but could'nt find anything lower than 120€. Would you happen to know about a good price on it right now somewhere ? I'm not familiar with most UK web shops.
Alternatively, what cheap helmet would you recommend for someone who loved its Atmos ?

Official crash replacement program, £65
http://www.madison.co.uk/giro/If you're in France, it looks as though the program is administered through bike shops rather than direct, ask your LBS

Thanks mdcc_tester and oxfordtoff. Will try to get the replacement program (here in France I have to take it back to the shop I bought it from, hoping they remember me because I discarded the purchase receipt), and if it doesn't work I will get a cheap new one.

Measure your old outer - if it's under 400mm, the extension kit will work

I've just been looking at those pages, I should have added "that I can buy right now, on their own" to my question.

Do you already have a tapered head tube CX frame that somehow came without a fork?

I started riding dropped bars about a year ago. Yesterday I was measured at the docs and discovered I have grown 1cm in about a year.
Could it be that my new riding position has caused me to stretch?
DJ says "no, you are just weird".

probably just had poor posture before
awesome new avatar, where did you find it?
not the same place as your bike, bars, stem, seatpost, pedals...?
-

I agree with DJ.
Slightly more serious - different time of day? Standing up less? Improved your posture?
Also, hi minnie
