Why are some ROADIES arseholes!!!
Today i was riding some country lanes slowly waiting for my mate to catch up (he had stopped) and a Road biker road up and said, "Is that a fixed wheel"
"Fixed gear Yer"
"you know thats completely illegal, your an idiot"
"You look like and idiot"
"Im calling the Police"
"what the F@$£ no its not"
So he stops i stop too he pulls his phone out of his lycra arse pouch
next thing i turn round up the road 1 mile later my friends front Tub has a puncture, Still got out alive though.
Sorry But i hate Road cyclistsWhere was he from?

Because many of them see a fixed gear bike on the road as some stupid little fad which is ruining the image of cycling.
They're just trying to make themselves feel better than you. The only road riders I've ever had problems with are the 25-40yr old racer. The 50+ see the fixed gear then grin and cheer you on (or they do around here)The amount of times I've been ignored and even spat at once is silly. Not every cyclist is your friend but the general rule is that if you see a cyclist coming the other way you make quick eye contact and nod the head. I don't know why it's just what I've been brought up to do.

Welcome to graphic design.
Success. Basically opened up the same original image but rather work with it in its native dimensions I bumped the dpi up to 300. I also stopped printing out GIFs which are for viewing on screen.
Smooth as you like and much better colour reproduction.
This is genuinely going to be the greatest birthday card of all time.

You're cycling not dogging.

I guess things are done differently out here

And no doubt Sir Alan will appreciate it very much. But you know he probably gets a lot of cards from people he has never met. Don't be too disappointed if he doesn't write back.

I do that, too. Admittedly, sometimes there are too many people around (Essex is busy with bike riders these days), but it's just a nice habit.
wcrxmx, that guy would be shunned by most club cyclists and he is definitely not typical. That is not what your average road rider is like. Training on fixed always used to be part of a roadie's routine, which is why oz. says that older people still acknowledge it. If you get grief again, tell the person concerned that they should post on the brakless thread on here. :)

What am I missing here:
Is the frame different or something?
He's also got the bike for sale elsewhere for 5.5K

They're blue 'dales?
Brand new £2,955
Second hand £5468.76 (£3,300 starting bid on ebay).
What g'wan?

He's only ridden it for 100mi so he's taken £400 off the price he probably bought it at.
Brand new special offer £2955

I acknowledge that, although it would seem a bit strange to not check what price a new one was, but then you have this http://www.sickbikes.co.uk/2011/08/2011-58cm-cannondale-supersix-dura-ace-ss6-5468-76/
Which shows what he is hoping to get for it I would think?
So, makes me wonder if I am missing something, such as a special frame or something

How do you resize images?
I was trying to embed some images into the "bikes you've sold" thread, and they're all too big. I know you can mess about and have thumbnails, but is there a simple way just to take, say this:
https://www.lfgss.com/picture.php?albumid=698&pictureid=5464
and make it a sensible posting size?
Cheers.

What g'wan?£2k for black paint.. no problem.

Hmm, magic paint made of magnets maybe?
-
• #16797
That would go some way to explaining things. But it wouldn't be the first time someone's paid over the odds for something on ebay and it won't be the last. Pity them for they may not be drunk.

He's probably hoping that someone will do an impulse buy

You don't know Sir Alan. He's going to jump my bones when he checks the post.

How do you resize images?
What kind of computer? MS Paint on Windows or Mac Paint on a Mac will do it, but on Windows http://www.irfanview.com/ is free and does pretty much every image file manipulation you need short of Potatochop.
