^^ The only reason why I'm riding the exmouth exodus fixed is because my geared bike is carbon. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a rack for the front attaching via the skewer and brake mount.

That's Sean Lock. He is funny.

I quite like his stand ups, but then it's more of a middle age humour.

Russell fucking Howard.
SMASH!

Sean Lock is funny.
The one I'm thinking of is the one who comes out with one liners. One liner comedians aren't for me but they always seem to have at least one in every episode.
Oh, Russell. He can be funny, not too often though

Can someone please shop a dick into his hand in this pic.

Maybe they're foreign like me and one liner is all they can come up with? Don't hate, bra.

Ah - Milton Jones.
One liner jokes can be good. but not a 5minute set of one liners. Especially when a lot of them are just slight variations of old ones.

Especially if they sound heavily rehearsed. I like bit of impro, some interaction with the audience and such.

I've used the search function but can't find it. There was a post from Hippy (I think) talking about how you can make your browser 'trick' websites into thinking you are in the UK. I'm in France at the mo and want to watch somethin on iPlayer but it's geo restricted. Anyone know how to do this or better yet know where the bloody post is?
Yeah, this worked for me beating AUS content..

my friend managed to slice a giant gash in his leg yesterday when his crank sheared and impaled itself pointy end first.
he was running sugino messengers but now has the fear that the a replacement crankset could do the same so he's asked me to help him find the toughest track crankset going. aesthetics are less important than strength. he's willing to spend the £££ to buy himself some piece of mind too.
he's quite a slim guy so he's not putting the cranks under massive load or anything should that be a factor.

SRAM Omniums weight a ton and are made from a good alloy, if I had to take a punt of which track cranks were strongest they would be my guess. Having said that, Messengers shouldn't break unless they have been abused. A well placed scratch on any crank will create a stress raiser which will eventually lead to fatigue failure. Best to inspect the broken ends to determine the likely cause of failure before blaming Sugino.

Thanks, I'm a Converse and Adidas Superstar man myself. I wore vans only till maybe 1995.

I took my bottom bracket out last night as I thought it was making a noise (turns out it was my chain!) Anyway after much swearing and hammering the spanner I finally removed the bottom bracket. Now here's the thing, the top of it is covered in patches of rush as are the cups (from winter) but the spindle is turning fine. Is it time to replace the bottom bracket or has it got life left in it yet?
I've re-greased the cups and put them back in for now.

On a bottom bracket related note- my Boardman CX bikes BB is creaking and moaning like a Clipper running before a gale, yet it's ~3 months old and been ridden in heavy rain once.
Are FSA BB30 BB's this rubbish usually?

Anyway- if one wanted to return carbon forks to their naked carbon glory, would it be hugely ill advised to simply sand off the covering of paint?
i.e. would it be better to paint them satin black, rather than sand them back?

would a dodgy bottom bracket be a suitable candidate for the creaking I'm getting on my tricross as well?
if I pedal using my spds to pull up in smooth circles rather than push down hard on the pedals the noise gets better and I can make it go away for the most part, but as soon as I have to set off from some lights it's creaking like a rusty bed frame in a thailand knocking shop.
replacing the bb would be a nice easy fix if it sounds like the case.
Cheers Oz. I saw those threads - those axiom gear racks are ideal, but they don't seem to be sold in the uk. I didn't spot that one you posted though; that one looks quite good. (I can't use p-clips due to the carbon seat stays.)
Let's see if I can get next day delivery...
