  • should be fine. just keep it off the black part just in case.

he really had to rub it a lot to get the change...when mounting his tire it rubbed ont he side and left a huge smear on the rim...it was ugly and totally a fluke.

  • Fuck-O-Rama this stuff does not want to come off.

Also- should tubs go down quite rapidly?

Mine are noticably soft, and I put them to 100 PSI last night as a test

  • my tubs have always gone soft rather quickly.

and as far as glue...its an asshole. if you can "soak it" somehow with a qtip or something it may help. also a wooden tongue depressor....i think thats what its called, the shit the doctor sticks in your mouth and makes you say Ahhhh, is great for scraping a rim without having to worry about marring it up.

  • Ah, I have many lolly sticks as "my friend" has a chocolate lolly habit that is (possibly) beyond control.

    I'll try one of them.

Going to ride this bike tonight if it kills me.

Actually, that's a poor choice of phrase, but whatever

  • godspeed.

Good ones should, they have latex tubes.

  • Vittoria Corsa Evo CX

  • Right now I really wish I didn't live right at the top of a very steep hill.

    Oh well.

  • Neil, there isn't much acetone in Fenella's nail polish remover. You need to go to a Sally's or thereabouts and buy 100% acetone. It's the stuff for removing fake nails. It will dry out your fingers like a mother fucker, so either wear gloves or rub olive oil on them after de-gumming your wheels.

  • Ah, that makes sense.

In other news- fuck my bike is fast now, and it makes an awesome noise with the new wheels.

  • Right. So. I broke my turbo trainer today. Not with pure leg power. But by overtightening the screw. You know, the bit that jams the the bit against the wheel? Anyway. Hilariously, my turbo is now set to FUCK YOU JENS. The turny bit no longer releases the tension, and actually comes off in my hand.

    How do I fix this?

Does anyone have a spare I can use for a week please?

  • Yes, you can borrow mine- CycleOps Fluid2

  • I'm applying for a new job, the advertised salary is around 23k, well paid for what the job actually is. There is a section on the application where you state your current salary and your expected one. should i put down what they say they'll pay or what i'd realistically do it for? my thinking for saying i'd do it for less is i might be more likely to be hired.
yes i'll under cut like a mother fucker to get the job.
would it be a mistake to do this?

  • Is 40 too old to start study medicine (with some sort of foundation to brush up on Chemistry)?

  • Hmm...do you think you are qualified for the position? Is it a position in a highly competitive field? If the answer to either of these is "maybe", you might want to undercut.

As for EEI, no. Do it.

  • can't you just claim you got your doctors licence in the old soviet days?

  • Good ones should, they have latex tubes.

    Vittoria Corsa Evo CX

    They are good ones.

  • Also, Jenne is right, get pure acetone rather than the watered down stuff.

  • re: medicine

in the states and canada they have restrictions on the maximum age they will allow you to enter med school.

I could easily do the job; its what half my old job was. I suspect it'll be rather sought after. so does a yes and a no make one maybe?

  • Er, yeah, I guess so, spotter. What was your old pay? Use that as a guide? You weren't an intern, were you? I mean, you're the one with the really shitty boss who makes you post his ebay shit, right?

  • Have you secured an interview?

If so then ask for the top of the pay scale, and justify why you are worth that in the interview.

If you are trying to secure the interview then that's another question.

  • application don't close till the end of the month, 23k is the bottom of the scale

I'm just trying to be honest with myself. I'm a foreign, so would have to go through the UCAS process to translate my qualifications and degree. This mean, that I'd need to go through some sort of foundation course if I qualify - this will make the whole thing 6 or 7 years long. Without any actual hospital internship. And then you retire :-)
