I dunno about the go-to, but I have a Brother DCP-L2530DW that I’m very happy with.
Bought it a few years ago. Never changed the toner, still works fine.
Maybe not super small though.

I know the exact videos you’re talking about and cannot find them for the life of me.

Another vote for the brother. Not small though.

And it matches your bike.

I've got a Hewlett Packard 107 which is compact and I've yet to change the toner in 3 years. WiFi can occasionally be a bit finicky until I twigged the best way to connect.
This looks like the current equivalent

Speaking of printers, are there any photo printers (6x4 I guess) that are decent quality and not too pricey per print?
I'm struggling to find much info on running costs.

HP Laserjet Pro M15w. Matches your spec, very reliable and I've found it trivially easy to set up with desktops, laptops, tablets and phones. Currys are currently selling the 300DW for £80 less than Amazon are selling the M15w, but the M15w is a lot smaller. 13.6"w , 7.5"d, 6.3"h - you can put it on a shallow bookshelf.

perfect thanks.

Haha, I remember this. I’d been trying to find the fish curry one for years but searching now just gives real recipes. Not what I want.

I'm liking this!

Actually better as the other recommend is discontinued

Would you buy a car imported from Japan? What are the issues?

Hs anyone got a set of MKS Allways pedals that can measure how tall they are? The width and length readily available, but not the height on the platform.

Search for stunt food? E.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=878tCT-0rLw

I’ve had one. Things to consider:
- You have to pay a fixed rate of road tax (£160?) no matter age, emissions or engine size.
- You’ll have to use an insurer who specialises in Japanese imports, though this isn’t an issue.
- If it’s pre-2006 it won’t be ULEZ exempt.
- Clocks will be in km and litres.
- You’ll need to fit a rear fog light. Usually you can convert one of the reversing lights with a red bulb.
Personally, I wouldn’t bother with something that you can easily get on the domestic market, unless it’s something very obscure, rare, unavailable, all the British ones rotted away, special Japanese features etc etc.
Are you looking at buying my silver Insight on eBay then? Buy it!

Would you buy a car imported from Japan?
Hell yeah
-
• #122595
Thanks. It’s a ubiquitous uk car, just a good deal on a JP import, perhaps for those reasons.
-
• #122596
If a UK car, it is less of an issue insurance wise.

I did. A Nissan Elgrand. It was at least 10k cheaper than buying it here, so the issues seem trivial to me. Generalisations on this subject are irrelevant. The pros and cons vary massively, car by car and deal by deal. Do masses of homework.
ULEZ has created opportunities, because diesel didn't become massive in Japan. Consequently they have lots of used petrol cars which look much more attractive here than they used to.

Yeah it's a toad; I'm ok with a little bit of misidentification

The radio on our Japanese nissan camper is interesting to figure out, but the weird welcome is always fun. Low mileage and well looked after, using the wipers instead of indicating catches me out at least once per journey.
I'd have thought there must be plenty of places accessible with only one change from the east coast mainline. Looked at Barnetby for example, as little as 2 1/2 hrs to Kings X.
