I love this. I'd be moving a canoe 2.5 metres long and much lighter, and on the flat, so I'm not totally dissuaded if I'm honest. Maybe I'm being naive.

I haven't yet! But I did meet a guy using one of these a few years back when on a canoe trip with Sparky Snr. It looked good, but I think he said he'd worn a previous one out. And after my experience trying to make a boat I'm just looking for a really easy and bullet-proof option.

When shipping a car it can take longer because the rate varies according to the priority. Senders can save money by choosing low priority. I don't know whether a similar system applies to containers.
When shipping is running smoothly the difference between high and low priority isn't huge but it can grow when there's a bottleneck, e.g. Covid or the Evergreen.

If you can find a way to clamp the dolly to the canoe towards the back I think you’ll be fine. Looking at what others have done, the secret is pulling the dolly and not the canoe. What’s the worst that can hap…

I have a friend who pulls one of the newer gen ones out day in day out over rocks and while it's scuffed it's rock solid with no structural issues - not sure if different from earlier iterations. Supposed to be able to withstand tens of thousands of folds as well. I'm looking at getting their bigger tandem (the Haven) for my kid and I to go out in. It's a chunk of money but I'd want to carry it down cliffs down here in Devon so a full size isn't practical. Have looked at, and may consider, an inflatable but something about that puts me off. I've had a go in an Oru and would have no concerns about longevity.

Thank you, perhaps it was desire line etc. I was sure it was an acronym but I'm happy with that.

Think you'd struggle with the trolley you posted.
I've looked into similar before (I'm a paddler too!), but yet to find a solution that wasn't expensive.
Best off-the-shelf solutions I could find were trailers like reacha or the carry freedom ones.
But both are £400+This is a great excuse to post this video though.

Is DuckDuckGo / Bing playing up for anyone else at the moment?
DDG is all "There was still an error displaying the search results. Please wait a few minutes before you try again."
Bing is all "It's not you, it's us
Bing isn't available right now, but everything should be back to normal very soon."

DDG isn't working for me.

Anyone know where I can get large sheets of emery paper or wet and dry? Looking for around 450mm x 600mm size in 120/180/240 grit. My Google is failing me.

From the manufacturers. Before it has gone through the cutting machine. I've never seen it anything other than 230mm x 280mm.

Where can I buy a Palestinian flag that isn't Amazon etc? If profits went to somewhere in line with Palestinian liberation that'd be ideal.

Given the @Skülly cunt thread got locked I need some advice. Am considering going to a festival this year. There is the option to rent a yurt there but for the money I am wondering if I should just buy a big tent I can stand in and a large inflatable mattress.
Any forum approved tents with standing room for cunts who like to be ripped off at festivals. (Though I will be getting AAA pass food all weekend so not really being ripped off).
