Bought the WV2 (cheap one) a couple of months ago and it’s been great. Doesn’t like going upside down, so not much good for car windscreens, but otherwise faultless (so far).

Why is it that cartoon characters so often have nieces and nephews, but not their own children? The theme runs right through from Donald Duck (Hewey, Dewey and Lewey), right through to today with Grand Master Glitch in Go Jetters having a niece.

If Donald Duck wasn't a totally sexless being, they'd have to pay someone to draw some trousers on him. Much easier to portray him as an asexual eunuch.

Does Homer have nieces and nephews?
-
• #120131
I don't think Bob of burger fame, Peter Griffin or Stan Smith do either. Goofy has a kid too.

Goofy has a kid too.
Relatedly, aren’t Goofy and Pluto both dogs? Why is one kept naked and collared, while the other was allowed a normal life?
-
• #120133
No mention of them on his Wiki, but he did have an Odyssey.
Sorry, THAT Homer, do Bart and Lisa count?
-
• #120134
do Bart and Lisa count?
Not as a nephew or niece.

Different breeds.

Why is one kept naked and collared, while the other was allowed a normal life?
Are you suggesting that naked and collared isn't a valid lifestyle choice?
-
• #120137
It’s a valid a lifestyle choice as any, but given the lack of a canonical explanation I thought I’d check that good ol’ Pluto wasn’t stuck in some sort of horrendous domestic situation.

If my dog could talk I'd probably let him choose how to dress, unlike fucking Shaggy.

As far as I can tell, Pluto and Persephone ruled the Underworld together in perfect harmony, but who knows what goes on behind closed dungeon doors?
-
• #120140
Persephone was trapped in the underworld due to a trick by Hades/Pluto, so I can imagine they had their occasional spats.

There's a website somewhere that gives you in-depth vehicle details from a reg plate (more in-depth than MOT checker). Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Car Vertical
I bought 2 reports but only ended up using one, so I'm happy to provide you with login access for the remaining report for a cheaper price than the single report price if interested.
-
• #120144
Cheers but it wasn't that. It was a free one that just gave more details on the general vehicle (engine size, transmission, etc) of that plate rather than stuff like finance specific to that actual number plate.
-
• #120145
If you start a for sale ad on Autotrader it should pop all those details up when you put the reg number in. I can’t remember if eBay does too 👍
-
• #120146
this one seems to do that after a quick check: https://www.checkcardetails.co.uk/
also RE: carvertical, pistonheads folks say Vcheck is essentially as good and only a fiver
-
• #120147
Check car details gave me most stuff apart from the one I really wanted to know which was transmission. Starting an insurance quote got me that though, cheers all.
(Although I do still wonder what website it was that I can remember but not find.)

caranalytics.co.uk displays more stuff than the others for free.
-
• #120149
Wrong information. It seems to think V5Cs are only issued on change of keeper and not other things like change of keeper address.

What's happened to Sugru? Even Amazon don't have it in stock.
https://sourcechemicals.com/ was where I got the oxalic acid, fwiw
