I'm assuming she's called Frances otherwise he'd be a Francis. If we're making assumptions based on convention.

Due to take ferry from santander to portsmouth on sunday. currently it is really rough out at sea, predicted to stay that way, and ferry time has been changed. how do I make the call if the boat will be cancelled? if it looks likely, we’ll drive through france as refunds have already been offered due to the delay. Thanks!!!

Considering respraying a frame from a now defunct manufacturer (Tokyo Fixed). What would be the best way to record the graphics so they can be reproduced? Other than headbadge it's simple stuff so i figure measure and photograph them and then give to a graphic designer to copy? I have found a few graphics on Dribbble i could rip but not all.

Interesting - even though I posted the link, I thought Frances' was correct because that is what I would say, not Frances's.
Another link here suggests that either is acceptable depending on which style guide you are following: https://editorsmanual.com/articles/possessives-of-names-ending-in-s/#a-third-way
I notice that in the case of appealing to common pronunciation, the University of Sussex article didn't give any evidence or rules for how to pronounce.
Given all this I would either:
a) choose Frances' or Frances's depending on what I preferred, assuming that anyone who visits and comments that the sign is "wrong" can be invited to piss off;
b) Re-word the sign to avoid the issue entirely;
c) Call it "My potting shed" and go straight to golf club;
d) Call it "Potting shed" for inclusivity feel-good points -

Clear pictures and measurements with tape should suffice.
Gil at Retrodecals does this often enough. -

Shipping forecast forecasts winds to drop slightly from Force 8 to 6, to Force 6 to 4
Other than staying in touch with Brittany Ferries not sure there's anything else you can do. Lovely trip, I have done it a few times although not in such sporting conditions

it’s the high seas bit! i appreciate your advice! you know when you are waiting for a bus or train and they keep rolling back the departure time and you suspect it’ll be cancelled but you’re in one of those moods where you become frozen by indecision and when they cancel you kick yourself? I don’t want that to happen!

Insoles - specifically odor eaters trainer tamers are generally the solution.

windfinder.com doesn't look very promising for Sunday... but what is the threshold for Brittany Ferries to cancel the sailing? I have no idea, but would suggest it is reasonably high given they sail this route all year round.

I have misplaced a garage door remote control. We only got one when we bought the house. I can’t find any manufacturers logo on the door.
I have opened the generic ip7 box with the circuitry and no logo in there either.
Will there be anything on this circuit board that would indicate how to program a universal remote control?

The vertical circuit board on the right is quite likely an off-the-shelf remote receiver.

Are there a set of dip switches on the right hand board? If so I think you find a remote and set the same set of dip switches in the remote. Not sure how universal the wavelength for transmission is but google might help.
I don't normally have much to do with garage doors but this week I had to change the battery in a clients remote and noticed the dip switch thing.

Is there anything on here that would help me program a universal remote?
Feel free to speak loudly and slowly in words of one syllable as I am utterly uninformed on these things.

Yeah, see if there's DIP switches

Is that blue bank on the right hand side the dip switches? Sorry for blurry photo but I crashed mtb yesterday and have fucked my ribs and can barely stand and stretch to get a better less shaky image right now and the circuit board is in an inconvenient location.

Yes
Fran's?
