Yes it absolutely needs a zip.
Uniqlo only offer a super warm / padded one with pockets like this, plus it's basically the opposite of fair trade etc. so I'm not keen on buying from them to be frank..

I think there are a couple in muji but that might not be any fairer trade

@n3il ..weird, these links don't work for me, and searching myself no sweatshirt kind of stuff turns up; seems they don't sell them to where I am (Germany), thanks though 👍
@withered_preacher ..thank you as well, I'll have a look

That's a good point. Although I guess germ-free crust is fine.

You're better off just spending £1 on some alcohol wipes.
-
• #113308
That is what I currently have. I just never get round to using them. I should probably just stop being a lazy bastard.

Will I notice an axle-to-crown increase of about 10mm?
700c wheels. A2c increase from about 405 to 415.

• #113311
Probably not

Tear or rupture? I ruptured mine, it was a bit of an ordeal. Op to graft hamstring in, fastened with two steel screws, months of rehab that I didn't really do properly because 19 and freshers time at uni. I regret that all the time. Knee never got back to contact sport level of strength and I just know it's going to fall apart in a few years time....

Good enough for me. Cheers

Cheers, appreciate the offer! I did find a reseller in Germany though meanwhile (foxxshirts.de in case anybody's interested) 👍

A client has asked if they can by via Amex over paypal.
What if any fees would I be liable for?
Can't obviously see it on their FAQs
-
• #113316
Standard G&S fees I imagine.
-
• #113317
Goods and services fee from PayPal at least, same as if you’d bought something from a lufgusser. Lufgussite? Someone here.
-
• #113318
Thanks both - following links there it looks like it's actually 3.49% plus a currency fee (even though it would be GBP to GBP) which totals a few grand in fees. Think I'll wait for a standard transfer instead.

I'd like to add mid fork mounts to a steel project two fork for a rack and front panniers. Is diy ing a rivnut in a stupid idea for this application?

Is diy ing a rivnut in a stupid idea for this application?
Yes. It not only makes a hole to weaken the fork, but it provides no countervailing reinforcement and even adds a bit of expanding load to make sure the hole turns into a crack.

Thanks tester
Follow up question, are there any issues with a framebuilder retro fitting bosses in the fork? -

are there any issues with a framebuilder retro fitting bosses in the fork?
Only the usual ones; do you trust them to make the right choices and execute them competently?

If I stick vinyl tiles to lino floor have I any chance of removing them from the lino, residue free(ish), in the future?
Lino has to stay. Also, will a Stanley cut through 3k 1mm plate? Not bothered about rough edges.

No.
Yes, eventually.

I have to be in Oxford for 9am tomorrow. Would it ordinarily take an hour, two hours, more from Victoria?
Does it need a zip?
