Shoe goo?
I had a faff sticking a car badge on and bought some 'sticks like sh*t' silicone stuff from Screwfix that would probably work well too.
Either might damage the leather on removal though so more permanant fixes.

Making a passive speaker as per a few pages back now.
What is my ideal angle for the cone of the speaker? 90 degrees feels a bit wide
-
• #112179
Perhaps look at (folded) horn speaker designs - an exponential profile will have a 90 degree total angle at some point if the horn is sufficiently long.
Audiophiles thread might give a better answer?
Edit - just had a look on there and a phone speaker might be seen as provocative. Thingiverse for inspiration maybe? -

If you do go to Brussels, the natural history museum is fantastic. (Lots of dinosaurs)

Shoe goo
Do yout think Shoe goo would work on metal?
It looks a bit scary. I'm not sure the surface of the leather would survive if I tried to remove it. I should buy some and test it. It looks like useful stuff for mending shoes.

It is very useful stuff for mending shoes.

Really good for shoe repairs and a million other things. Stinks and is probably not very good for you in any form. They do a less nasty version which I haven't tried.

I thought it was in this thread but I can’t find it, does anyone know the post/thread recently that was discussing art/print/poster framers in London. I think it was one in SE being mentioned, maybe Deptford?

Is, 1 1/8" x 1 1/2 tapered stem the same as, 1.1/8" - 1.5 tapered stem?
Might seem like a stupid question, but don't want to order the incorrect fitting forks.
If it's not the same, is there a way to increase the 1 1/2 to fit a 1.5? Or whatever way needs adjusting. -
• #112187
Yes, 1.5 is one and a half. I can't believe I'm having to say that 🙂

Not the case in the world of bike tires, but you knew that and just didn’t bother.

Not the case in the world of bike tires
Bike tyres can't even cope with whole numbers, so fractions and decimals are obviously out of their league.

I can’t believe you even had to say that.

er no i cant believe you even had to say that

Come on folks, get off your high horses. The world of bikes is a confusing one and we all know that not everything goes, so I was just after confirmation.
A simple, "yes, they are the same" would have done.
But thanks for confirming. -

We’re only joking 🙃
Lack of smilies doesn’t help!

Also consider whether the forks you're looking at have an integrated crown race. The headset you have may not be compatible.
-

I'll just ask for full clarification.
Would these Yari forms work as a replacement for the old rigid forks?
After we've established that yes, 1 1/2 is 1.5 😳
I do have a boost spacing, thru axle wheel set that's been adapted to QR, so it can be changed back to thru axle.

Ah you'll be good. Metal steerers are simpler.

Putting together a kid carrier. Suitable wheelbase, bb height, and clearances to run 650b. Any reason not to?

This worked perfectly, thank you!

I used to have a set of randonneurs that kind of did this, let me check.
You're doing it worse than I am.
