Turin's not a bad shout actually! I've been a couple of times on tour with my band and loved it.

You might not manage to park on that estate on a Sunday, there are a few churches on it. There is always space as you get higher up Canterbury Grove near Uffington rd( where I live) and on Uffington near Thurlby

Two of these attachments came with a 2nd hand bike rack I bought. It doesn't look like they originally came with the bike rack as are not shown on the box or manual. I assume they're some kind of adapter, but I can't figure out what for?

There's this thing called the customs union which sounds like it'd be handy...

Being in the EU customs union and being in the EU is a distinction without a difference, certainly as far as the terms offered by the EU to GB are concerned.

I've been to Valencia a few times and really liked it, far preferred it to Barcelona. Don't know what it's like for vegan food though.

Oh that's a good suggestion as well, thanks!

They are used to space-out the bikes and attaches to the downtube to prevent the bikes clattering into each other.

Can second Valencia. There is (was) a well renowned veggie/vegan restaurant in the tourist guides that we enjoyed. Also, the paella places were happy to do a vegan paella if you asked. Definitely good for food in Valencia. There’s also a Boris bike scheme for about €15 for a week’s pass. The river garden is very chilled out.

Just "registered" but it didn't give me option to set a password. Just keeps emailing numbers to me! Is some new fangled hypersecurity thing?

So what? We want to fix the increasingly fucked border situation, we can either go for the libertarian "let it all in with no checks", which will last until the first major disaster, or we join the customs union. Because we are, at a fundamental level, very stupid we will do those in that order, which will cost us a fortune and the very last of our reputation internationally. It's just a shame we have no grown ups anywhere in this government.

A friend and I are hoping to head over for Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend to watch Paris Roubaix.
Aiming to catch the race at Arenberg and Carrefour and will potentially have a car with us.
Any recommendations of towns to stay in from those who have been over previously?
Thanks!

Barcelona is awesome and a has one of the best vegan food scenes. If you cycle just a few km away from the city you escape all the madness and the cycling infrastructure is top notch (as long as you are willing to swerve past the tourists)

I am going to be cycling to work again in the near future, wouldn't mind getting some sort of insurance (3rd party liability)
I know British Cycling membership comes with it, anywhere else to consider? Not 100% sure I don't have some sort of 3rd party cover with my home insurance, but would like something more dedicated for piece of mind.

Exercise headache exists. Here's one among many descriptions:

I want to put a front brake on, but the pivot bolt nuts I have which fit on my other forks aren't sliding in to these ones. Do these come in different sizes?

CUK (CTC as was) has a worthwhile third-party insurance and legal cover as part of the membership. It is worth it for that alone.

Probably just filth and corrosion. Get an 8mm hand reamer (e.g. https://www.rdgtools.co.uk/acatalog/Presto-HSS-Metric-Hand-Reamer-8MM-10335.html) to clean it out.

Does anyone know of a way to adjust the reach on Shimano single-speed road brake levers?

Have 3 domains with an independent hosting company - they've been hanging/timing out for the past couple of days. They're fine, then they hang and they all crash at once. What gives? I've been in touch but they claim they can't see any issues at their end.
