Not a complaint btw.
I bought plusnet on the 16th dec, it should be here and active by the 3rd of january. 18 days.
My Q is, do they consider that on first bill?
I've paid for half of December and half of jan and get internet for half of jan OR I paid t0 get it and the first month starts on the 3rd and I pay again on feb 3rd for the month of feb? (2nd month)

Is there anywhere online I can get a couple of 550mm circles cut in self-adhesive vinyl? Signwriting stuff, like you’d stick on the side of a van. Been in a few local places to ask but no-one seems to do vinyl.

Stupid question alert:
Do they do an equivalent? I've often asked places "do you do X?" And they've assumed I know what I'm talking about and that of course I know exactly what I want, not the nearly identical equivalent that people actually use these days.

Not a stupid question. The local places don’t actually have a vinyl cutter though. They’re all printers for things like business cards, headed paper, posters and advertisement hoardings.

Could you improvise a gasket cutter from household items?

Well it might come to that if I can only get the vinyl! I have a trammel that I could fit a scalpel blade to.

https://allprint.co.uk/ is my go-to, since it's very local.

I'd expect it to start from when the service actually starts. That's what you're paying for.

Isn't there a forumer or maybe two with vinyl cutter?
-
• #111237
Yes, me too.
Although increasingly likely; expectations > reality. -

I've got a vinyl cutter. Only a hobby one though so it can't do something that big.

If you’re after white or maybe black then have a search for motor racing roundels

Others definitely only do it from activation so I can't see them being different

I’ve got a 60cm cutter, and black, white adhesive vinyl film. Need to check width of these rolls, how much I have, but if I’ve got it, more than happy to do it later today.
edit; the rolls are 50cm wide, and I've got 2m of both black & white, plus 1m of orange. I could cut either 55cm diameter in two sections, or solid ones at 48cm. Would suggest doing 48cm to allow a generous tolerance in aligning the 50cm sheet.
edit-edit; dang, I've just realised these films Ive got here aren't peel-off adhesive, but heat-press films for t-shirts. Anyway, the adhesives are relatively good value, and could source a roll wide enough for your spots;

Out of interest, what exactly is it for - to go onto a vehicle side? I can check the spec of the vinyl too, see if it’s suitable for the application.

Hi guys, is there a Bianchi thread on LFGSS? Trying to work out what my first ever MTB was.
I think it was a Childs Bianchi MTB in the early 90's. If such a thing existed.

I need a QR skewer for my front wheel, but it's boost spacing.
I tried a standard rear spacing skewer, 135mm, and it was too big.
Anyone have a clue what size I need or suggest what one to get?Cheers

How have you managed to have a 9×110 fork?

Yes it’s for on the side of a vehicle. They’ll be on long-term, but I’d prefer to be able to get them back off in the future (hot air gun?). I got the current ones cut by a place in Beckenham and the guy gave me a choice of adhesive tacks. I’m not in Beckenham any more though, so I can’t just walk in like I did. They’ve also been on for ~10 years now, so I doubt they’ll be coming off without a fight!
Also @Dry - thanks, I didn’t know they were called that.

@Jonny69 let me know if I can help with my cutter - I’ve just found a roll of 30cm black adhesive, so could cut the spots in sections, or see the link I posted. There’s different types of film & tack, I just posted the do-all budget stuff.
I’m away for a few days but can pickup in the new year if time isn’t an issue.

hot air gun?
Last resort, as it tends to leave half the adhesive on the car. If you can pull the film off below the glass transition temperature of the adhesive, you should get a clean break with very little residue.

You can buy black or white roundels in many sizes including the ones you want here
https://www.isaydingdong.co.uk/ourshop/prod_1827343-Racing-Roundels-Plain-Various-Sizes-Black-or-White-Set-of-3.html
and probably pretty much any other motorsports shop
Anyone got a link to that thread where the guy makes his own paper mache helmet?
