  • I wouldn't work for those cnuts. No, I was a customer of theirs, they want me back. I want them to stop wasting paper.

  • Send all the letters back to them

  • That hasn't worked the last 14 times.

  • Send all the letters back to them

After using them as toilet paper.

  • They're shiny and I doubt their cleaning capacity.

  • Is there any way I can bill them for my time spent processing their junk mail?

  • Send them an invoice for a shreder.

  • Why do google results look... weird.

Or are my eyes worse than I imagined?

(I spent about 300 bloody quid on glasses and eye tests the other day.)

  • Why do google results look... weird.

    1: Define "weird"
2: State your browser, including version and any customised settings
3: State which monitor and settings you're using

  • 1: Unusual, i.e. weird and slightly lighter blue, the results are also divided by little grey perforated lines.
    2: Chrome; no plugins/funny settings
3: LG Flatron W2242S; bog standard settings I've been using for the past year and a half - yet this morning... weird.

  • huh... the difference is in google.co.uk and .com

.co.uk gives unusual looking results page, .com gives good old fashioned darker text with no results divider.

  • My spoke calc calculates I need 293.8mm spokes.

    So... 293 or 294mm?

I've always rounded down in the past, and I'm sure it makes no difference within 2mm, but I'll go with the consensus...

  • 8% mark on an SIS 500ml bottle is how many grams of powder?

  • huh... the difference is in google.co.uk and .com

.co.uk gives unusual looking results page, .com gives good old fashioned darker text with no results divider.

The difference between '.co.uk' and '.com' is regional specific vs. worldwide.

They look identical on my setup. It could be how your browser is showing it.

  • So... 293 or 294mm?

Either will do fine. Just get the spokes you want. You want Sapims.

  • I'm using Sapim race so I actually have a 1mm choice. Too much choice!

  • If this thread is not for asking questions, what is it for?

And if it is for asking questions, what is wrong with that?

  • .co.uk gives unusual looking results page, .com gives good old fashioned darker text with no results divider.

Google are continually fucking about with things, sometimes trialling new stuff just on a few servers so even different users on the same domain get different outputs.

If you are that bothered, you can always use your own style sheet :-)

  • There are times when I wonder is dammit trying to become the modern Luke Rhinehart? Instead of being the diceman living by the roll of the dice, is every decision going to be based on the whim of Lfgss?

    Hah! Great book.

Nope, just glad to know I'm not hallucinating :)

Just seems a little odd that people are objecting to asking questions- seems to be one of the reasons behind forums.

Also, is it not in general a good idea to get a variety of view on a subject before committing to action?

And to add- just because you ask advice does not mean that you have to follow it.

  • Reminds me of the kid at school who had a go at me for calling a gondola a gondola- he said I should call it "a basket thing" as this was less poncey.
