You could also look at sashiko.
Surrendered Housewife mag did a thing on it recently, here:

Joel Goodman. That took about 30 seconds to search

Is there a fix for soft-touch rubber/plastic bits that have gone sticky? Umbrella handle in this case.

Good times.

True.
I guess I was wondering if it was about displaying their personalised number plate. Or maybe a weird "I'll make them brighter so the pigs don't pull me" flex.
TBF I did change my motorbike indicators to led, and asked questions on which bulbs to buy. So maybe I should stfu.

If you push in as you unscrew it should engage a bit with the fractured surface of the bolt. Worth a go anyway.
Failing that its possible you could drill the rivnut and replace but you run the risk of drilling the frame too. Find the outer diameter of the rivnut and select the same drill bit. If you manage to drill dead center it shouldn't drill the frame at all. You'd have to remove the BB to get the remainder of the old one out though.
EDIT: forgot to refresh the page, this is from a couple of pages back. Probably solved by now.

Thanks for this. Sashiko looks quite similar to the existing repairs (with respect to the layout of the stitching) but with a reinforcing patch. One of the ones I need doing is an armpit repair; I wonder if it might be better to have a patch there.
I think I’m going to end up doing these myself tbh, just so I know it gets done how I want it.
Thanks also @danb and @withered_preacher

This is incredibly true. Lol.

Don’t understand the reference, is Arkose considered high end, or good value or ?
Regardless, Styleforum has a thread that has good info though it’s not very active these days. I really rate my Ince, made in UK though most of the hardware is imported as is usual for almost all brands. -

Arkose considered high end, or good value or ?
A workhorse: ultimately devoid of passion or style, but completely reliable and functional.

• #110165
I see what you did there.... I think.

reliable and functional.
Yeah that, and availability of parts for when it inevitably breaks. Will look in to Ince, thanks.

• #110167
Thanks, also @Silly_Savage, I’d say in terms of handmade in the UK, Ince is good value : )

I think you did

I got my girlfriend one from https://bluntumbrellas.co.uk/ through Amazon and it was about £35. It's survived the wind and rain in Edinburgh and looks almost new after a few years

Oh yeah I was looking at them the other day. Not sure about the colours but the design's not a bad idea.

I'm very surprised there isn't an artisan umbrella thread on here already.

Is shiply the best option for getting a bike bought on ebay shipped? Want to buy a bike but have no way of getting it myself. Just wondering if it's worth the risk or are there specialists who'll pack it properly rather than just lobbing it in a van?

I’d like to change these TAs on an Arkose for something without a handle. The handle on these is not removable. Is that possible?

I don't think I've ever bought an umbrella. I either find them on the train or are gifted them as part of some corporate hospitality
Anyone know who took this photo so I can get a big/high resolution version?
