I use specific email addresses (in the same domain) for different stuff (99% of things come through on a specific email address) which makes it really easy for filtering emails and blocking spam.

What would be the best way to get a specific coloured top for a desk? I could paint something but not sure how hard wearing that would be (and how good it would look). Can you get custom coloured MFC (without spending loads) or wrap or something?

Try international decorative surfaces.
Woodford Green, Watford and Thurrock. Something in their range may suit you -

Does anyone know if you can still park for free in the side roads near King's College Hospital? I'm going to be there for around 3 days but can't train or bike like normal because reasons. Last time I parked in one of the smaller roads off Camberwell Grove but I've heard there might be some new parking restrictions there now. I won't be able to keep going back to the car, so I won't be able to dodge any hour-long daytime restrictions to stop people (like me) parking by moving or paying at a machine.

This seems to suggest that the whole area is now residents only parking: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parking/find-somewhere-to-park/parking-zones

£24.50 for 5 day visitors permits. Know anyone nearby? Suggestion in case useful.

Separate question: are fake high end Campy 11s EPS groupsets a thing? Someone is offering me a 3rd hand bike with possibly a fake frame, that they say is legit but I can’t quite tell from the pics. I’ve met the seller but don’t know them enough to trust them without questioning the deal.
I'd be very surprised if there were. The R&D required to make something that actually worked would be immense.

There's definitely whole fake Shimano groupsets kicking around so Campag doesn't seem too much of a stretch.

Sadly no. Looking a bit like it might be easier to drop off at the hospital, drive to Beckenham Hill and dump the car, then get the train back to the station. How we do the next bit back, not exactly sure yet.

Cheers, they do seem to have a pretty wide range.

Used to use them all the time when I was at The Science Museum - mainly because of their wide range.

Bear in mind that if you are applying this stuff to a surface, you should also apply a similar panel to the opposite surface to balance it - otherwise it'll bow.

IIRC you can buy a repair kit from Ortlieb.

Thanks @freezing77 @Brun @hiraethus
I spent that day trying to guess/eyeball a pressure angle and making something in a web based CAD (from my phone which was a nightmare) both a bit of a flop.
I was just trying to look for a lazy solution where I could send it off for a copy. It's from a salvaged motor so I'm willing to put some money into it. I'm also maybe willing to try a slightly wrong (material/size) gear and risk destroying it even more, it can go back in the bin.
I wonder if using a metal gear instead would destroy the other plastic gears?
Sounds like a subtractive process might be more applicable than 3d printing for a plastic gear.

Anyone had trouble with bursitis? Had it come on randomly today. Bit of foam rolling (calf and ITB in particular) helped temporarily but it’s still sore to walk around on.

Oddly enough, it's often the other way around. Hard oxide particles stick in the softer material of an unmatched pair and erode the harder material. This is how lapping works. Nylon bushings have been known to wear hardened steel shafts to the point of failure with negligible wear of the bushing. Not that you should worry too much in this case. Nylon or Delrin (acetal) gears are mostly used because they are cheap, not because they are otherwise preferable to metal ones.
Since the jumps between different gear moduli are quite large, you can almost certainly guess what you need simply from counting teeth and measuring OD. The most important thing is finding a stock solution, since having gears made is unlikely to be economically worthwhile.

finding a stock solution
Pray 4 me.
Or this motor might just go back into scrap

Anyone had trouble with bursitis?
I've had bursitis on my left hip for the last 15 years or so. It's annoying but apparently the only real cure would be massive steroid injections followed by many weeks/months of inactivity. So I've learned to live with it.
Should work
